How to find a good writer for my sites?

I spend more time on Seoclerk and other freelancer sites but I am still feeling difficult when finding a good writer for my blog and websites. Some provided me not good articles while some are good but still needing to be improve or reedited. According to you, what should I care when hiring a writer here to get good writers?

Thanks in advance!

Finding a good writer depends on how much you are willing to pay for writing service. If you are paying just $5 for 1000 word article, your article quality will not be very good, however, if you can pay $10 for 1000 word article, you can find a good writer. Good writer demands good pay. You can find writers on various freelancer sites including SEO Clerk. Before you hire a writer you should always check his writing skills.
By the way you can hire me for writing services. I have over 10 years of writing online. I have even published books on Amazon.

This exactly! Wise words my friend.

If you pay a very low amount of money, you honestly really can't expect extremely high-quality articles or content. But of course, nobody wants to pay really high amounts of money either so I suggest you take the middle - try to find writers that aren't the cheapest but not the most expensive.

All of these freelancing platforms and portals have the review and rating systems. Use this to your advantage. Look and read what others wrote about a particular author, were they happy and so on.

Also, make sure that the actual writer knows the topic that he's writing about. For example - never hire somebody to write an article about SEO when he has no clue what it even is. Yes, he can find the information and put it all together but trust me, the expert SEO's will notice the difference. Instead, find somebody with at least some knowledge about the topic.

Good luck! How to find a good writer for my sites?

Hello Vinaya,

Can you elaborate this

If you are paying just $5 for 1000 word article, your article quality will not be very good, however, if you can pay $10 for 1000 word article, you can find a good writer. Good writer demands good pay.

Why more people are offering $5 for 1000 word article but they didn't provide the quality service like $10?

There's a saying that goes, "you get what you pay for". This means that if something is cheap, you should expect that it will be of lower quality. In essence, most of the time, if you're paying someone a little more to do the job then they should be able to do it at a higher quality than someone who is charging much, much less. Of course, this doesn't hold true for everyone, so you shouldn't base your judgement on writers simply based on how much they charge.

I'd look at different websites like Textbroker or other content mills and find writers who have good reviews. I think that's much, much more important than simply gauging their worth off of price. If you can find a writer who has a good track record, good ratings and reviews, then hire them.

I completely agree with you here--when it comes to getting good writing, it is just like anything else--you get what you pay for. Writing well is not an easy task, and when you ask an accomplished writer to work for you in a type of "sweatshop" situation where the creativity is not being nearly compensated, then I think it can demoralize the writer a bit, and he or she is not gonna dedicate the effort to the work.

When you are hiring a freelance writer, you need to see their previous works of them. You need to see what kind keywords they are using for articles and is it related to the niche or not. Some freelance writer writes too long, and it's sometimes exaggerated (for readers sometimes it's boring). Find something short, relative and useful writing first and then only hire them.

Before hiring a freelancer consider Two factors : If they website she works through has a refund system and His previous reviews Though some freelancers fake the reviews But these are the main things which might help you just in can if she faked the reviews still you can get your money back and not loose both your time and your money oh in addition consider hirering him from a reputablewebsite other wise you'll fall into scammers out there.

Obviously, you need to check their previous works and reviews given by other people. We all need to do some R&D before we jump into a conclusion. The Internet is full of scammers and spending money without any information is no brainer.

I agree with you but to be honest some showed their previous works but they are the best ones that they did while when doing for me, they can write fast and low quality.
It is just one of ways to present their services so it is hard to know which is a good writer.

I am joining forums to improve my writing skills but I'm not really bad with my written English. My idea of a good writer is someone who writes with substance. That's the first consideration because that is what I am trying hard to improve on - part of my job in the office is to write communications and reviews of procedures plus project reports, etc. With my work, even one sentence will do the job as long as it has substance which means the information is relevant and interesting too. Second is the grammar, the way the sentences are constructed. Although literary writers are good in this line, I still prefer the simple sentences and simple words that are easy to understand. Article writers should first write an outline so the article will have a direction otherwise it may just go in circles. I hope this helps.

There are a variety of factors which go into finding a writer who gives you the kind of content you're looking for.

One of them is cost. If you go to a site like Fiverr where there are dozens of people simply looking to make a few easy bucks, you're not going to find too many writers who put their heart and soul into their content.

The other factor is reputation. Don't hire writers that don't have a portfolio or some other published work. Imagine buying a car that you haven't even gotten to look at, and you're just counting on the dealer's promise that it's a nice car. Would you buy it? Of course not. Same goes for freelance services.

Very true. Employers that hire online writers need to treat it like a regular job, or else your employers won't. Ask yourself: how important is this writing to me? If it's essential to you, the writers won't see that if they're only looking for a quick buck. Experience is always good. The same goes for any real world job. It's a tough world out there, but if you find someone who's passionate about the job they want to do it will be easier.

You have to take into consideration that someone can be an excellent writer on a certain topic but not so good in another. In other words, you got to find the right man for the job. If the topics you want articles about are general topics then most decent writers could do an ok job. But if you want technical stuff than the job takes a different proportion.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

RedVelvetJuliet
Exactly. They can't just hire someone for a topic that requires you to have gotten a doctorate. If you want an article about being a doctor, you're going to have to get a doctor, or else you risk coming off as unrealistic. General stuff isn't really a big deal like you said. It's just a lot of factors that you have to consider.

To attract a skilled writer, you must be willing to provide a better pay for the job. Seasoned writers will always look for better oppurtunity and a higher pay. You must be willing to spend more. Some thing are worth spending an extra buck.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

RedVelvetJuliet
Absolutely. A seasoned writer will also be honest with you upfront and tell you they want to work for a fair price. If you want to buy a writer with a low price, be prepared for cheap quality writing. I have been on the other side of the freelance world as a writer myself, and it's no fun doing jobs with little payout. I have seen people that tried to pull that trick get called out by fellow writers as unprofessional. Be fair to your workers, and they will be fair to you.

It's pretty easy, I mostly find the good ones through trial and error by hiring from /r/slavelabour. You do get a lot of bad ones but there are also many good ones, you'll just have to filter them out. It's a relatively tedious process but it's worth it in the end.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

RedVelvetJuliet
R/Slavelabour is a sketchy place from my experience. So many people break the rules and don't want to play fair just so that they can get your money. You just go to go through a learning experience, unfortunately. It's all part of life.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Well filtering out writers is pretty easy. Give them a couple of articles to write on the themes you need - if they are good enough you pay them for their time and keep them in mind for the future, otherwise just don't pay them. It's not extremely hard.

Hi When you are hiring a goo writer, you should see some of his/her writings first to see if they qualify for what you need. You mus figure it out if that writer can publish high-quality content, useful information that will bring readers to your site.
One way to make sure you get the right writer is to create a very specific job description before you start your search.

Agreed with you, but it is not easy to know their quality of services unless you have to try their services. Some shared samples and they are quite good ones but I have admit that checking their portfolio or articles that they wrote before is a good way though.

I totally agree with wallet. The writer's written skills must be tested before that we hand over the job to him/her. You can also take a look at any previous articles that the person has written. My friend has a blog and her English is very good. She writes the articles for her blog herself and doesn't rely on others as she had some bad experiences.

Some tips I find very important when hiring an online copywriter:

- Consider the price / value of the articles
- Evaluate the number of words you intend to have in your content
- Make sure the copywriter ensures SEO in the content
- Review the copywriter's portfolio.

To get a good writer, you must be ready to part with good money. Just like in every industry and business, to most skilled staffs usually cost more to hire. So instead of paying $5 - $10 for a cheap post that will have no impact on your blog success, look for skilled writer and pay good somes for their jobs. In the long run, you will be thankful you did.

I am not sure about this because I can have more money but not mean I will have good writers for my websites.
I think it depends on I can get lucky or not when finding a writer.

Writing is a skill that not everyone possesses. Also, while several people can find it easy to write on general stuff, they would not find it easy at all to write on something that requires in-depth knowledge of the subject matter.

Several online marketplaces exist where you can find good writers for your sites such as Iwriter, Upwork and Fiverr. I would recommend the first two as the other has individuals who are looking to make some easy buck.

Also, your pay would determine what kind of writer you would get. Don't expect anyone to write an extensive article with technicalities and its accompanying jargons for a low price. You would only end up shooting yourself in the foot.

I would recommend iwriter. There are 3 categories there depending on how much you are willing to pay. You could go there and see how it works. I am a writer there but still at the standard level.

Finding a good writer is one thing, finding the best fit writer for your niche is another. I'm not sure what your blog is about but you certainly will not want to pay for a good writer to bluff his/her way around your site. You'll want real content and you can only get it from someone who has genuine knowledge about your niche. You can ask for samples of their previous work or for references, if any.

I would have to say that paying a handsome price for a piece of writing does not always equate to quality. Don't worry if you're paying in the lower-middle of the scale because there are good ones in the middle and even in the lower rung of the pay scale. For instance, over at the content mill where I've been working for the last three years, Prime Writers like me are being paid what you can consider a measly/beggarly fee: $10 for 2,000 words. The junior writers receive significantly lower than that. Check my posts out at seoclerk and see how I fare with other writers you're encountered. I'm sure that my posts don't look bad at all.

That is a good insight for hiring a writer. I agree that there are many good writers around but what you should find is a writer that has a broad knowledge of your niche. If the writer will just depend on the research then I don’t think that would be a good writer. This reminds me of an invitation to submit articles for a fashion blog by one of my friends. I declined the offer because I don’t know much about the niche.

Hi itommy I guess it depends on how knowledgeable and interested the writer is in your Niche, a lot has to do with the writers "work ethic" also. There's lazy writers and there is diligent and hardworking writers. Id also say that price don't matter in this case because there's so much competition between writers today so a lot of "unknown" writers simply have to offer lower prices to get noticed to begin with. where can you find a writer who provides you what you need? Here at Seoclerks you should be able to find one that suits your needs I think without a doubt.

Hi there,
Thanks for asking a nice question. I will suggest two ways. Firstly, you need concentrate on service quality, is it? You must to check good quality writer who has good understanding skill about subject. And he has good knowledge of grammar. Beside, you mist to look how good he able to use vocabulary. Simple but easy to read and attract to reader.

Secondly, if you want to hire someone from SEOclerks, there has some indicator to understand reputation of Seller. Read carefully seller service details and try to understand how and what seller offer to you. if you do not find all what you need, ask to seller by Pm and try to make sure what you really want. Visit seller profile and find out feedback for that specific service, which previous buyer rated him. And you may also check out seller user level. SEOclerks provide some level base user, level 1 to level x5. Each level user contain reputation of his work.

Hope this will help you to hire right person for your service

You could either hire @Vinaya since he had written books at Amazon and he is indeed a good writer at some sites that I had participated, I had seen his articles. Otherwise, you could find cheap labor for good articles at Odesk, Freelancer , maybe you can join in forums to check out who is willing to write for you.

Getting a good writer depends on cost.there are good writers that hirer refused to deal with because of their price. You can hire good writers from Fiverr and other freelancing sites.Go for those with good rating and reviews and you wouldn't have a poorly done job.

A good writer is not hard to find, depending on how your money source for it, but in your thread you stated that you have been going through SEO and you couldn't find good writers that suit your taste? Maybe you didn't check well because they're lots of them. Every freelancers on SEO are good, that's except it's not SEO you checked, I am good freelancer you can also try me out, but like I said I am not going to agree on low prices with don't fit my quality and taste Just like you

It really depends on how you pick your writers. A good way would be to get multiple writers all at the same time, compare their submissions/articles and pick the best writer among them. Do this 3-5 times over a period of several months and you'll end up with a pool of good writers. Just remember you need to invest time and money first to find good writers. Also it's not usually the price that will get you good writers, I know of some excellent writers who would accept a modest amount for their writings.
