Does anyone have any organic SEO tips they care to share? What tips worked for you or helped you out? Was there something that made the process go faster?
The best that I can advice is to simply change which keyword you are trying to rank in case you can't rank well because of competition, this way if you have already rank to a less popular keyword, you get to have organic traffic.
When Youtube had changed its monetization policy on Adsense with the minimum number of subscribers and viewing hours, our only recourse to get more subscribers is through the searchers. We are still changing the keywords for each video. It is a tedious process that takes a lot of time because choosing the right keyword is not easy although it can be effective once you have tagged the video with the right keywords.
Reputation counts for a lot on the internet. SEO always improve it by participating in forums, commenting on blogs, responding to reviews and questions about your site, services and more.
Choosing the right keywords
The keywords selected need to fit your target profile. There are several free keyword suggestion tools which can help you pick the right keywords. Begin with a familiar phrase which is relevant to your site. The tool will then give several related words, as well as search volumes for each. You will then be able to choose the best keywords for your site
You know I would have never thought about the reputation being a part of it. But I guess you are right. If you want to succeed you need to put yourself out there.
Write high quality content.
Do a keyword research, find 3-4 keywords on your niche that is less competitive but has high search hits. Use those keywords on your content.
Find a long tail search term on your niche that has low competition but high search hits, use that long tail search term in your content title.
Try uploading new contents regularly and for sure your SEO ranking will increase or will remain high. From what I gathered in all the discussions on SEO that I have come across, it looks like the content is the major factor when it comes to ranking in the search engine list. The content you will upload on your site should be unique, better if original, and relevant to your niche, of course. What more, it should have substance particularly with the information you are sharing to your readers.
Having good, useful and relevant content posted regularly in your site is the best for organic SEO. It ultimately builds up your authority in your niche and along with good keywords it would translate to an increase of visitors and ultimately rankings.
