Hi Haider,

I would that 99.99999% of blog comments are completely worthless, so are most links that can be easily created with a known SEO/link building software. Commenting on good, relevant blogs many still be worth it and get you a few visitors but overall I doubt it will effect SEO at all, possibly evenly negatively knowing Google.

Such a shame how people using spam software messed up a good thing. Many years back, I commented on blogs manually (only ones related to my own blog) and actually had blog owners follow my link and come back to my blog and comment on my posts. I got good direct traffic from that technique too.

First, comment on blogs that is lined-up with your website's niche. I know you are already aware that the moderation for blog comments have been stricter. Comment with sense and don't just praise the writer for an exchange of instant link. make sure you add value to the conversation. Most of all, read and discern the whole article before heading to comments section.

Blog commenting is just like a disease, which gives you nothing more and no longer exist in Seo factors. Majority of bloggers building backlinks through blog commenting. But they are going with wrong way, because blog commenting backlinks are totally ‘NoFollow’ which will never be considered in search engine. According to my experience Commenting is the best way to connect with any blogger personally. While it can take time to create such connections, once you are regularly commenting, you will be noticed by the site’s administrator and other co-bloggers. The development of these connections can prove to be very helpful to you in the long term.

Anything that adds value is appreciated by everyone.In order to take maximum advantage of commenting, follow these simple rules :
-Try to be the first to comment.
-Write detailed comments, using a minimum of 4 lines.
-Make sure you have an image added with your email address.

Commenting with your keyword as a name has a great advantage in terms of SEO, though many bloggers might see it as a spam and not accept such comments. But if you comment without self- promotion, and add more value to the post, your comments will be gratefully accepted.

I am also a blogger and I experienced that relative blog commenting is still 99.99999% effective. You should also write if commenting is not relative and quantitative than its 99.99999% worthless but a good comment will always give you a good response

Blog comments are still very much effective.
Try to do commenting on niche related blogs, make sure those blog post are recent and have enough engagement.
Make sure those blogs are DA 20+ and spam score is less then 4.

Pick up 4-5 top ranking site/blog on your niche.
Use moz and ahrefs to collect all the backlinks pointed to them ( you would need premium accounts )
Use scrapebox and filter out all duplicate domains.
Now use moz and chk DA and spam score ( you can use FREE account )
After that chk blog engagement, if every post have 10+ quality comment, you can save that domain in your final list.
Subscribe to that blogs mailing list or add the blog to feedly, so you can easily get notification of new blog posts.

When ever they post something new, just drop your comment.

Yes its still effective but some peoples are comment only in one word or one line that is not good actually put a some 2 or 3 line because is necessary that other person satisfy from your answer so its good for your site.

I do blog commenting and in my experience, you do not gain viral traffic through blog commenting, however, you can get traffic if you write an interesting comment. The owner of the blog and the genuine readers of the blog may check your website. By sharing your web link while placing comments, you also generate backlinks for your website. In order to profit from blog commenting, you need to place comments on high traffic blog posts.

One friend of mine is a hunter of traffic from blogs. He would be going the rounds of popular blogs which have a big number of readers. And then he would choose a blog which has very few comments. That’s where he will post his comment which he always tries to make it interesting and sometimes even controversial. He said that it is useless to post a comment for your backlink if your comment is not eye-catching to the readers.
