Are Wordpress blog SEO plugins enough to rank high in Google?

So many Wordpress blogs use the SEO plug ins and they seem to be an easy SEO option for bloggers. But if everyone is using the same plugins, wouldn't that mean no one has an advantage? And, if so, what can a Wordpress blogger do to step ahead in SEO efforts in front of their blog competition?

Don't just use what everybody else is using. When it come to plugins test them and then test some more. Find the best solutions for your blog because not every blog is the same and some stuff may work for you and others won't.

Basically the plugins are used for on-site optimization purposes..Having only on-site optimization wouldn't give top rankings unless you are the only one targeting that keyword i.e. no competition.

A On-site optimization paves a solid foundation for off-page optimization i.e. Link Building...Though in many cases it's proven that just off-page alone could give top rankings...

Google uses on-page optimization to understand your site's niche(or Relevance) based on the keywords you used,content etc. And it uses the number of links pointing to your site to understand the popularity of your site...Based on these metrics Google determines your site's ranking...

What if there's no on-page at all?
Then google considers the anchor text of the links pointing to your site!!

That's true. SEO plugins are for on page optimization. You will be optimizing your contents through these SEO plugins. However, on page SEO is not enough to get ranked on SERP. You need backlinks as well. Backlinks are also the key to high DA and PA. YOu need quality backlinks for your site to increase your visibility on search engines.

Wordpress SEO plugin should be taken as a reference for the optimization of the content. The plugin will give you an idea on what you have done right, what is not working and what needs improvement. The wordpress is not enough to rank high on Google, however, if you take these SEO plugins as a reference for optimization, they would surely help to rank higher.

My take on the plug-in is that it can be an advantage if you are the only one using it. Think of 100 sites that have the same niche and they are all using the plug-in. What do you think will be your advantage over the 99 other sites that are similar to yours? I guess you have to be discerning with the tools because it can work for them and it might not work for you depending on the conditions and situation.
