Please report inactive seller/services to keep SEOClerks spam-free

Hello to everyone in our amazing Ionicware/SEOClerks community.  Just wanted to ask if you would please report any inactive sellers to us so that we can suspend their services.

We work hard to keep the SEOClerks (and Ionicware) Marketplaces spam-free and these 'inactive' services are another form of spam as they clutter our site and prevent legitimate active sellers from receiving the attention they should.  You can report any service via the REPORT button on any service page.  Our moderation team will work quickly to remove any reported service.  A seller may un-suspend any legal service once they login again to become active.

We rely upon our Community and wish you all the best with your buying and selling endeavors.

Please reply below if you have suggestions on how we can improve your SEOClerks experience or just want to share something you love about being an SEOClerks member.

Thanks to everyone and have a Happy Saturday!

Will be on the lookout for accounts like that. Also in the future can a feature be added that limits the amount of multiorders that a buyer can purchase on a service? If the seller could put a limit on that as a option it would be nice.
Happy Saturday to you also have a great weekend!

That's a good idea actually, as many times a buyer will purchase excessive quantities of a service in one order and then expect everything done in the same time frame as if they had purchased one quantity. We'll see about adding this to the list. As always, thanks for your participation in our community.

This is one of the great and initiative step for making spam free of SEOClerks. I like the step. Some times at the time of browse I often found the inactive pages and I shall must report from today to next time.

I was looking for a message tone service when I am available on online with SEOClerk. Some time I stay online but stay busy with another website. By this time on SEOclerk has been received a message but there have no sound except m a i l inbox.

Thanks
Centurion

In addition to inactive sellers, another thing to report are sellers that say they will do your work (such as in PM) and then after you place the order, they go mysteriously afk for the duration and leave you hanging for weeks. And, when you go to check their profile, you can clearly see they have logged in same day (and are not inactive) but just ignoring your own order. It's beyond annoying. That type of behavior is unprofessional and we want to nip it as quickly as possible as it creates unhappy customers and a bad vibe that discourages buyers from wanting to reorder.

It's really very good idea, to increase more sell for active sellers and buy better service for buyers.

But you didn't mention, how much age old inactive services, I can report?

I suggest you, Continue the current trend. keep active services and don't remove those services.
And also please quick reply "the support ticket", and solve the seller's problem as soon as possible via Ionicware.

Regards,
MRipon

Thanks for your suggestions. Many times, a new seller will come to the site and place services but then go inactive quickly if they don't receive sales. It's just best to report those type of sellers as inactive as their services clutter up your category and keep real buyers from seeing what you have to offer. By keeping your category free of spam services, you have more chances of earning sales.

You can easily locate inactive sellers by making smart use of the 'sort' features (top of every category).

For example: https://www.seoclerk.com/categories/Link-Building?s=pz&t=20

Click: Sort by -- > Views -- > Views to see the services in your sub-category with the lowest views.

You can mouse over the seller's name (without even clicking through) to see the little pop up that says last login date.

This is useful for identifying inactive sellers.

By helping to moderate your own favorite category, you can ensure to keep out the spam that might be causing your own service(s) not to be noticed.

Keep in mind that an inactive seller's services can still be ordered, which means it's YOU as the seller who are losing money if you leave that spam.

How exactly would we determine if an inactive seller is worth reporting? I'm guessing that we can assume someone is inactive if they haven't logged into their account after a 60 day period, or perhaps even sooner? Lately I've come across plenty of accounts that haven't been active for upwards of even 100 days, so I'm going to assume that the majority of these folks don't intend on coming back. A shame really, but at least it makes room for people who are actually interested in providing active services.

Even 2 weeks is a really long time not to be logging in. A seller who is serious about building their SEOClerks business will care enough to login every day or at least a couple times a week, if only to check messages.

Think of this situation from the buyer's point of view. They paid money and should receive a response right away from an active and attentive seller who cares enough to login to at least respond.

Really, there's no excuse, as an email is sent to the seller's inbox to let them know they made a sale.

A lot of factors might contribute to someone not being active over a period of time. There is no way of telling if the inactiveness is intentional but I believe that there is a period of time an account would stay without being logged in, take for instance 5 months, then it should be presumed that the person is no longer coming back and kicking it out wouldn't be a wrong move.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Beverly
There's no reason for a seller to just walk off and abandon their account and leave services active for any length of time. It takes just a few clicks of the mouse to set a full page of services as suspended. And, just as easy for seller to reactivate services once the seller gets back online to resume business.

Alright then, if that's the case, I believe that the administrators knows what's best for the platform and would do everything to keep things working properly without much difficulty or problems. So therefore, I would leave the decision making and it's execution to the team.

Hi Martins, I noticed you don't have services on SEOClerks yet. If you're interested in pursuing your freelance career via SEOClerks, you can also bid on Jobs in our Want to Buy Marketplace. It's an easy way to get your first few sales and lots of opportunity to choose from.

can you define "inactive sellers" I have two services on SEO Clerks. I have zero sales for my first service. The last sale for my second service was about two months ago. Do I fall on inactive seller?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Beverly
Mostly, we're concerned with sellers who don't ever bother logging in. A seller who logs in once a week or often (even if just to check messages) is not considered inactive, whether or not they make sales.

Thank you very much for your answer. I have one more question.
Recently, I created a job. After I posted the job a member began sending me messages regarding the jobs that are different from what I needed. Since there were a lot of messages. I clicked the report button. What happens when someone reports a member?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Beverly
Hi Vinaya, thanks for your inquiry. When you click the report link on a PM/post/service, a spam report is created. When creating a report, you will have the option to specify why you are reporting. So for instance, if this person is harassing you, then simply state that when reporting. Once the report is submitted, a staff member will review to see what action needs to be taken.

Feel free to click the report button on any service where the seller is inactive. Especially important for the category you feature most of your services in.

Need to have something in the code where if a seller doesn't sign in for so many days the services automatically get turned to suspended. Just a thought! lol that might eliminate the army of reports and also the inactive sellers will be dealt with automatically.

Over the years, yes, I'm pretty sure there are a lot of inactive sellers around. There are also a lot of sellers that don't log in often and only come back when they gain a new order, maybe something has to be done about sellers like this? Maybe sending them a reminder via email, informing them that constant activity on SC can be the difference between fewer orders and a constant stream of profit.

This is actually a very good idea, but I think try to consider those services which aren't active in sales but the owner is still active and just waiting for some clients to get interested in it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Beverly
Mostly, we are looking for sellers who don't login often or ever and have late deliveries and not specifically targeting new sellers who haven't made sales yet. After all, we all started in the same place, at square one and deserve a chance. These inactive sellers who never login are a drain on the Marketplace and cheat active, interested sellers (and their buyers). It's not too much to ask a seller to login at least every few days to check. Even if they are doing nothing but bumping a service for maximum exposure. We want to rid the Marketplace of inactive seller/services so good sellers have a fighting chance of earning a good living with their services and buyers have access to only the best/active sellers who can and will deliver as promised.

Well thats what i mean people who do not log in the services they offer need to get turned off maybe to a "Inactive" Mode or something

Yes, people who are not selling are just cluttering up the site. I think it should be something that is for active sellers only. It will make it easier for people to find what they want on the site.

Hello guys I am also new to this site and I just wan't to know how you define this inactive sellers? Because in my side I'm still trying to fit myself here and feeling that I am too far from other members but I'm doing my best to share my personal knowledge on every topic that I think I can give a little help. Thank you guys.

An inactive seller is one who has active services but never (or rarely) logs in. To see if a seller is active, go to their profile and check: Last seen status (left hand menu).

I'm still active every now and then as a buyer as well as a user here on community discussions. But overall, at least for the time being, I'm not active as a seller anymore, this is why I long suspended my services. I was still getting orders every now and then and I hated the idea of canceling or talking a lot more time delivering them to my clients.

Over the years, yes, I'm pretty sure there are a lot of inactive sellers around. There are also a lot of sellers that don't log in often and only come back when they gain a new order, maybe something has to be done about sellers like this? It is very encouraging to hear that you guys want us to check for those who may be limiting our full potential to get our services noticed. I will definitely keep my eyes open for such users. There ought to be some sort of reward for such i think because it can motivate the reporting.
Thanks.

Another option will be let someone write a script when inactive users have not login for 30 days ithemes security plugin has this and warns you with an email when a user did not login for 30 days

Manage a new Algorithm for these kind services will be effective.

One more thing about Level X.
I have working hard on seoclerks last years, and I am getting more recommendation with %100 Positive Rating from my buyers, also I am promoting my SEOClerks services on YouTube and hopefully make a site specially for seoclerk services promotin, I got more than 5 Affiliate Users. Please let me know i am entitled for Level X Or not.And what strategy should I apply for that.

Thanks & Best Regards

I believe this is an issue that can be solved by a simple code. SEOClerks needs to find programmers to write a code that has the following Functionalities...

1. Send Automatic email reminders to all registered members of the community. Vendors who have not logged into their accounts for over two weeks have their services temporarily disabled until when they login again, they get notified through email that their services are currently off the grid due to inactivity.

2. Rank services on the homepage as well as search results pages based on their user's active status, services of those freelancers that login more often(at least once a day) to rank higher than those that login once a week or month.

3. Place the rank of those freelancers that have a history of numerous customer complaints at the rock bottom, if possible terminate their accounts altogether.

Manual Checking of each Service or seller is too laborious, it consumes too much time and very expensive(in terms of staffing needs). Only an amazing code will sort out this issue once and for all.

Having experienced negative interactions with freelancers before is one of the reasons we are reluctant to promote this community on our social media accounts.

Customers who have had a bad experience with a freelancer when they order something for the first time on this platform eventually end up hating everyone on this community. Just because their first purchase was a nightmare for them, they presume we are all scammers. I once read the rant of an unhappy customer on a social media post. He had purchased Social media boost Services but the freelancer failed to deliver on the order, He was so angry that he went about blaming and cursing the whole of this community, "SEOClerks is nothing but a bunch of Scammers and Con Artists, never buy anything from them," he said.

The survival of this community greatly depends on good customer feedback and more importantly on happy returning customers. If people visit this site, buy services then shortly after that begin to avoid the site like a plague because of the bad customer experience they had with some freelancer. Such are the kinds of problems that are killing our thriving community slowly but surely.

It's all our duty to watch out for bad apples and get rid of them as soon as we spot them. Let us together Keep our community free of diseases and pestilences of all sorts that threaten to wipe us out.
