Yes, SEO will never die but it will evolve. Gone are the days where we could build a ton of unrelated backlinks in the masses and have instant rankings. Now we have to put in the time and effort to get our websites ranked, making it more difficult for the average person to boost their own websites rankings, which means SEO companies like mine will have increased profits because we've followed all the rules and researched all the algorithm updates as they came in The death of Search Engine Optimization

I do like your clickbait, but it's sort of annoying since you said SEO is dead and when I got here you're saying it will never die...

I sometimes wonder why some people are posting in this site about the death of SEO. My take on them is that they do not know anything about SEO or maybe they are frustrated that their SEO work did not have a good effect on their site. But whatever the reason is, we should not mind such discussions because it is just a waste of time for we all know that search engines will always be around and it will give the site traffic by the SEO methods that we use on our site.

I think branding is not going to be easy. It takes years and even decades to have a brand. And one bad action can slow down the site. So it's not always about brand. Some of the time people have to think in terms of the value. If you give value you are going to get more output. That's how it works.

Are you sure SEO is dying? What makes you so sure about this? This is actually the first time I have heard this. I think that it might not be as important as it once was, but in terms of it dying..I don't really know about that.

They don't actually believe that SEO is going to die off. The fact is that the title "The death of Search Engine Optimization" was written in a way to attract more clicks by alerting the reader. Sensationalist writing such as this is known colloquially as "clickbaiting." They don't believe that SEO is dying, but rather that it is changing from its current state, and therefore the methodology for optimizing SEO is changing as well.

Yes, I never thought of that. It is probably an attention grabbing headline that makes people click on it. There are always ways to build a better mousetrap though and it can be one of the ways to make people aware there is another way.

Yeah, I don't think SEO is dying, but rather it is constantly evolving and the older techniques may no longer work as well as they did before, so everyone has to adapt and keep up with the times to get the most benefit out of SEO. I believe it's here to stay, but only those that keep up with the changes will truly succeed.

This is true and I wouldn't say that SEO is dying. The thing is that webmasters should understand that there are lots of changes that has been made and there's need for us to improve on our brands, if we are really sure that we can get the best results out of what we are doing on Search engine optimization.

Yeah, some people just depend all on SEO without trying to improve their products/services in the first place then wonder why they are not gaining any increase in revenue. People need to adapt their strategies but they need to focus on their own products first.

Nice article about Search Engine Result Page. I shall follow the techniques for getting a rank. All rank will come by doing good do follow based back link. All back link should be Tier 1 to Tier 9 based or do follow hyperlink based. If you select the right keywords for your website and if you make do follow back links- than I think you will get good and quick result about the increase of website position to search engine result page.

Thanks

SEO will die only if Google dies, which won't be happening anytime soon. Google is the biggest search engine in the world with over 3.5 Billion searches per day or 73? of worldwide searches. and Google chrome is the world's most used browser.
So having said that, logic dictates that SEO dies only when Google dies.

if google dies then SEO does not die at all.
It just means another search engine will take the reigns.
Just like everywhere else that sells products and services.
That's like saying if Bunnings shut their doors today there would be no more DIY Home repairs Or it's like saying that if apple shut down there would be no more mobile phones.
Can you see how illogical it is too say that SEO dies with Google?

As long as we have search engines, SEO will never die. It is true that SEO is becoming harder and harder day by day, however, some techniques will leave forever. For instance, keywords and backlinks will always have value. Your content needs to have keywords and backlinks to get position on search engines. In the past, one or two word keywords were more valued. However, these days we should push on long tail search terms. If you se trekking as your keyword, your content may never be found, you should use specific keywords or long tail search terms such as trekking in himalayas.

I suppose one strategy is to simply copy the winners. I mean, how could you go wrong with that? Anyway, though, it may have took a lot of money for the big shots to get there, so be prepared to do the same. Do you think that's even possible for most contenders?

Copying from the successful people and business is a very good strategy to become successful yourself. Copying does not mean you are following their best strategies. You need to check your competitors and try to implement every good thing they are doing. As for SEO is concerned, you need to follow their SEO strategies to drive traffic and sales.

Title says: "The death of Search Engine Optimization"

Content says: "SEO will never die. It will be getting better day by day."

I see that clickbait has reared its ugly head here on SEOClerks. Figured it was just a matter of time.

I'm teasing of course, haha. But yes, so long as Google exists, SEO isn't going anywhere. Also we have to remember that Google isn't the only search engine at work here. The fact is that SEO is always going to be necessary. The methodology might change along with the algorithms, but that doesn't mean it is going to die. It'll always be around in one form or another.

This is called clickbait. The OP wanted to bring visitors to his thread by having an interesting and unique title. SEO will never die, everyone knows this. However, if someone is saying SEO is dying or is dead, everyone will get interested.

Aside from the clickbait title, as some users here already mentioned, the content is not bad and it gives us some SEO tips to apply to our own websites. SEO will not really die because it only changes. Google or other search engines often change their algorithms to better refine the searches to better serve the search engine's users and to patch their loopholes that other SEO enthusiasts are abusing.

I have read several discussions not only in this forum but also in other forums that they think SEO is not just dying but dead. I wonder what game them that idea. If you will think of search engines, they are here to stay. When someone does a search, there is the chance that your website can get traffic from the searcher if the link of your website appears on the first page and in a good position. And to achieve that good position, you need to do SEO.

Agreed. The search engines and here to stay and it will always have certain criteria on which website to display first. So the SEO techniques will only change and it won't die.

SEO is dead to the poor, LOL. I mean, it's not like on the movie Rocky where a common person has a shot. However, though, in the past, it was incredibly possible - assuming that you were a little smart - so did any of you rank in the past? Tell us your story.

I can't count how many times I read that phrase "SEO is dead".

How such, You couldn't make your keywords to top 1 then you yell:"SEO is dead". You didn't understand why your keyword is outranking and you yell:"SEO is dead". You hate writing quality content day by day and you yell: "SEO is dead".

Why not find another way to enhance your SEO skills?

I have to copy your clickbait haha it's impressively effective????. As you said SEO can't die it can only evolve as Google evolves. Then again if Google dies then SEO dies. Is there a chance that someone would usurp Google's throne? Nope!
