    My opinion google over-optimization penalty will impact
    Onpage with full keyword stuffing
    onpage with only 1 keyword optimized
    Spam Backlinks webpage

    The success should
    link source diversity x anchor text diversity

    Build 1000 backlinks with different anchor text and different source better than million backlinks from one source (example from commenting only)

    It seems that many good sites have been hit by this too! whether this is going to resolve itself i don't know!

    I have noticed that many of the top sites for my keywords that i rank for are now shopping sites and this goes against what Google have said, where they want the top ranking sites to provide informative content for the readers.

    I know someone who had 19 keywords ranking on page 1 and now they have dropped out of the top 100, yet all there incoming links were high pr niche related with no spammy links. So not sure what's going on at the moment, but definately seems like a new era has arrived!

    country specific backlinks are now worth, like if your site is .co.uk and your backlinks are mostly from .co.uk then you will rank better. It is experienced.

    Based on the discussions that I have read in this forum, the penalty is due to the spamming of the user on his site. An example is keyword stuffing where the content of 100 words contains more than 10 appearances of a keyword. Another spamming is the posting of many backlinks on one site. However I cannot comprehend why Google will penalize a site for over optimization? What does Google get from sanctioning a site?
