Hello can any one tell me how google get to know that we update content on our site? I am really confused about it.please help me out..thanx
Well, google has a lot of bots that will crawl your website on a regular basis therefore google will know when you added new content and index it accordingly.

I guess the crawlers give priority to the newly updated sites that if your site has no new content then it will be bypassed by the search engine crawlers. That is the main reason why we say content is king because if your site has no new content then it will not have a good ranking in the search engines. If you have uploaded new contents on your site today then you can expect the crawler to hit your site on the next day.
That is just the perfect answer.
You can also change the crawl time between google visits, google it
From what I understand with search engines, they keep a copy of your website’s coded summary in their database which is updated regularly. So when your website has no new content, the search engine will immediately know it because the status of your summary on the search engine’s database has not been refreshed. That is the reason for the advice to post new contents on your website regularly to increase its capability with the SEO.
