Blog platform writing

Most writers have heard about blog writing. Many writers have their own blogs. They want the world to know them, in a personal way. Blog writing helps both the writer and the readers stay connected. Readers will soon want to follow certain writers, and hear what else they have to say.

Well, I am not sure I am writing "what the world needs to hear", but I do think that the freedom to have a blog and to read the blogs of others is a wonderful and democratic privilege to have in this world. There are many countries out there, or regions, who do not have access to open internet where the people can communicate like we are doing in this forum, much less have the freedom of expression that blogs offer the individual. I think that blogs really do provide a valuable cultural function, and I am glad to write them, share them, read them, and learn from them.

This is true. While, like you, I don't think the world needs to know what I write, but I am hoping they would want to, but all the same, I am thankful that we can voice out our opinions and share points and personal knowledge and experiences through blogs.

Right--I think that there is so much that we can all learn from each other. People always tend to surprise me with their knowledge and strength--sometimes they surprise me with their pettiness or lack of concern, as well. However, when I read blogs full of optimism and with good content, that inspires me to share as well. Like you, I am just happy to have an audience and to share my opinions freely. There are many environments in my life where this freedom is not possible.

Blogging? I'm only in it for the money. So I'd better write something people want to read. LOL. Blog platform writing Blog platform writing

Of a truth, my daughter suggested I start blogging to support my affiliate marketing websites. She said people search for blogs and the content could be used to attract people to the site and hopefully, the visitors would buy the affiliate products. She said lots of people have blogs to attract people to their websites. The free DIY website builder app that I was using also had a free blogging app. So I figured: Why not? It's free to try.

I think keyword research can help with the part of what people want to read. But we make mistake on the part. Where we assume where people want to click. And considering affiliate marketing makes money on conversion. We have to be really understanding on how that works out for the users when they read our blog post.

I have some additional thoughts. My thoughts are free. Do with them what you will. Blog platform writing Blog platform writing

I think if you use codes that are installed like Skimlinks, Infolinks or VigLink – it's actually a good way of figuring out if your content has good keywords. Speaking from my own experience. When I write, I write in my normal voice and I don't want my quest to find the right keywords to take away or detract from my own “voice” (my writing style). I published content at a site that uses Skimlinks and I published content at my own sites using Infolinks, and I noticed words in my content that had links which resulted from the coding picking them. You follow me? The VigLink code hardly ever picked any words or phrases in my content. Go figure. (O.o) Of course, you have to get approved for these affiliate programs, but the codes sort of do the keyword research for you. What's your opinion?

I think getting approval to the blogger sites and tumblr sites is a bit harder on the skimlinks and viglinks. So I try to see what I can do most of the time with manual linking. It works out to some extent.

Thanks for your feedback. I do manual linking a lot. Better stick to it then. Blog platform writing

Democratic is the right word to describe blogging because people have been granted the privilege of expressing themselves. What’s good in blogging is that almost anyone can have their blog and it doesn’t require someone to be a writer or even a good writer at that. You can create your blog in halting English or maybe even in using your own language. Another benefit in blogging is the discovery of your skills especially when you get to write good blogs that are read by thousands of your followers.

This is true. Owning a blog leaves room for creativity and there is also no pressure to post everyday. Most writers own personal blogs where they have a chance to talk about everything and anything happening in their lives. This gives them a chance to not hold anything in especially after a stressful day.

Some use blogs for professional purposes like getting clients and retaining them.

In as much as there is no pressure to post on a daily basis, there is need to do it in a scheduled manner to ensure the readers don't lose steam of following the blog as well.

I think owning and having content on regular basis is important. Some people just make the most out of the blog with the affiliate and the ad links. So one has to be really careful in that context. I'd say people need to be understanding how that works out for them. I am sure in due time some people can have better understanding of the traffic and then monetization.

Quite true,I think that anyone that has got what the world needs to hear should start a blog.owning a blog is a great platform for vocal people, this will help others to know one's thought and also hear other opinions through the comment section.I own a blog because I want to express my thoughts and words in writing, that way I will be able to vocalize my brilliance on ink.

I have found out there are many people going more and more towards the platform. Those you can see that - mirakee, wattpad, steemit and WordPress. Those seem to be good platform and they can be really good in many ways. Blog writing takes time though. So unless you are making money off blogging, it's better to be a bit of conservative on that note. Because you never know when the time is wasted.

Blogging is a sure way to let out what we have in mind as well as what we wish our readers to see. Having a relationship blog is my top agenda of the coming year and I'm excited already about it.

I am a realist and sometimes I hate being this way, but the odds of someone following your blog is slim to none. As of 2015, there are 152 million blogs online and there are probably over 200+ million blogs on the internet. So your not going to have anyone follow your blog unless you're an extraordinary writer.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

JoeMilford
That is an insane statistic--seriously. How is it that some people get famous and even become celebrities with their blogs with these kinds of odds? It's baffling! I would wager that even if you ARE an extraordinary writer that you would STILL have a hard time getting a following if you did not know how to market yourself or if you were writing in a niche or genre which people are not gravitating to right now.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

AmieBotella
I would like to argue that you do not have to be an extraordinary writer to have an insane amount of followers. But I wouldn't. This is just crazy to think and depressing though. But come to think of it, it wouldn't be this large in numbers if blogging isn't really patronized by the internet users. So, no matter what the figures say, I'd say people still found a way to generate something from blogging.

This is true. I think blogging is great because it made a way for people who are not professionals at least make their voices heard, even when their structure isn't perfect. Sometimes there are some types of audiences that will tend to gravitate more towards amateur works, even, so having a system like what we have now where everyone can put up their own thoughts is good because anyone can find content that they are attracted to and the choices aren't as limited as it was back then when all you had to rely on were professionals and they held all the control of all the information going out to the masses.

I think most of the blog platform out there are owned and monetized by respective owners. So we have no other option than the platform which works better for our own sake there. I have seen some of the platforms that make some really good option for the hosting. I think considering that steem supposed to be a good investment. And hoping that in near future I can invest into it for sure.

It is certainly a way to express yourself and if you work hard at it, maybe a way to make money as well. It is good to have blogs on popular topics that people want to read about but not to the point where they feel they are being over saturated with information.

Blogging is a good way to communicate with your readers If you are dreaming about becoming a writer, blogging will fulfill that dream. You can not only promote your brand as a writer but also drive sales to your books. Blogging will also help you make money. If you have a popular blog and get many readers, you can use network ads and affiliate ads to make money. You can make money from your blog, but it is not easy.

I agree making money off blog is different part than attracting people to get into your blog. Lot of time we don't know how the users are going to make use of the concept. But if we know how to deal with the traffic and the paying clients. So the blogging can help us understand the readers more. I'd say that is one good part about blogging that we learn with time.

If you want to build a name for yourself, blogging is the best way to gain readership, even make some money. By maintaining your blog, you can not only create your own brand as a writer but also promote your books. The blog will provide a platform for writers to showcase their works. If the writer is able to pull a lot of traffic to his/her blog, he/she will also earn money. For serious writers, I believe making money from the blog should be the least concern.

I agree writing book and then maintaining the blog can be one way for adjusting with those changes with the monetization. I have found out that some of the time blog platform has some of those issues to deal with as well. I think bloggers should make use of everything that can make them money.

Blogging is easy, all you have to do is produce high quality articles and publish on your blog. Maintaining a blog is also easy, you need some skills with the content management system and know how to market and promote your blog. The difficult part is building traffic and earning revenue. You might do SEO and SMM and gain traffic. However, having traffic is not enough, your traffic also need to convert. There is where most of the blogger fail.

I think maintaining and writing are not my strong suite. I have just revived one blog from 2012. And I am going to delete the content and restart. And hoping that things would be lot better in that case. Because old blog needs content removal for reindexing of the better and high quality content. That's what I have learned recently.

I have been writing online regularly since 2010. However, I did not create my self-hosted blog until 2015. I would have never created my own blog had the websites like Helium, Squidoo and Bubblews, where I contributed and made most of my money) did not shut down. The shutting of these websites helped me learn me the importance of having your own blog. Even though I stopped writing on third party website and began contributing on my blogs, I have failed to update my blogs regularly. I have revamped my blogs many times. Currently, I am revamping my blogs again.

For me, a blog is more of an expression than a way of earning. When I was co-blogging, my mind would be refreshed when I read my latest article. It is like I was being inspired by my own article. Ideas would come to my head and in an instant, the small idea would grow big as to fill an entire page. As a platform of writing, a blog is actually a way of showing yourself since it is you what they read and not just words.

As long as you think blogging as a fun way to express yourself, blogging will be a pleasant experience. However, once you begin to think blogging as a way to make money, then blogging will be a headache. For many people, it is very difficult to make money from blogs. You will have to spend money on a domain and hosting if you want to blog, therefore, blogging can become a financial burden if you are not earning revenue.

The original concept of a blog is an online journal where the creator will publish his thoughts. However, these days blogging is more related to content publishing. In the past, blogs were of personal nature, however, these days blogs are more related to providing information. These days people use blogs to make money as well.

I agree, blogs have become commercialized. Originally blogs were a kind of fiction a route to entertainment, a way to get into someone's mind. However now they a route to make money. it's hard to find people reading blogs just for the sake the story. Most blogs are used for affiliate marketing, not even for content generation. Providing information is a byproduct of wanting to sell. Blogging is truly dead.

Blogging is truly dead.

It merely appears so because a lot of bloggers are internet marketers. Good thing though is though many bloggers create content their goal being to get readers to buy something by the time they finish reading an article, there are bloggers who write solely to provide information their readers seek.

Whilst trying to learn more about hydraulics, I landed on a site which I was quite impressed with. The articles I read were not only very well-written, they provided detailed information that answered all my questions.

At the bottom of the article the writer then recommends a number of books which the reader should buy if they want to learn more about hydraulics. Impressive. That's how bloggers should do their stuff.
