The best way to suppress other search results that appear under your brand is to create additional social network profiles. Make sure you have a profile for everything out there you can brand: facebook page, linkedin page, twitter account, pinterest, G+ and the list goes on!

Big social networks like these have high authority and are generally placed high when it comes to brand positioning.

But after getting several, you can check their previous jobs or maybe inquire with their previous employment. But if your main question is how to get applicants then you can try the social networks like Facebook and Google+ where you can quickly get reactions.
