What do you think about the influence artificial intelligence (AI) is having on today's search engines?
AI is clearly changing everything about search engines, especially the results. Seriously it has gotten ridiculously hard to figure out what a certain search query gives me certain results, it's isn't just about the ranking algorithm anymore, the AI learns by itself, it adapts to trends most importantly: it doesn't need additional algorithm update to change things drastically.
So what do you think about all of these? Are SEOs and other search marketers gonna still have a job 5 years from now? What about 10 years in the future? How much do you think AI will evolve in search engines?
Personally, I think we just witness the tip of the iceberg.

Oh yeah for sure, but I don't know if it will be the same jobs or the same paid jobs. Although when it comes to SEO and technology (which doubles in speed every year) 5 years from now could bring about a lot of changes and new things which we can't see but only predict right now.
I think by 10 years Google will be a fully developed AI search engine that knows the intent and meaning behind every search. A search engine that knows whether it should even return search results based on who's searching it and why!
Completely and totally. AI is going to be the next step in evolutionary human creation that will go on to be able to create its own kind after itself. Just as mankind creates mankind. AI will create AI and so on. What that means in a 100 years time is only for God to know right now but damn it's exciting to think about!
I think you hit the iceberg on the head there buddy!
