What types of backlinks are there?

Ok so now that I am busy with researching how to do my own backlinking I have a few questions.

What are all the types of backlinks I should be building? I am busy with doing a lot of social backlinks at the moment (Pinterest and Reddit), and I am continuously adding directory links all the time.

Yes there are blog comment backlinks, and of course guest post backlinks. I've seen that there are also like profile backlinks.... are these really useful?

Are there any other types of backlinks that I should be focusing on and where should the majority of my efforts go?

Obviously, A diversified link profile came from high authority sites along with HQ guest post (can replace them through PBN) will be the win-win formula to rank any sites with lower budget, but if you have handsome amount of money to invest then should go for Pure blogger outreach along with resource page link building and scholarship links from EDU sites.

Web 2.0 seems to be what you are currently focusing on right now. That is your social media platforms. Social bookmarks too.
In the SEO world there are what is called Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 backlinks. Not all backlinks should point back to your main website. I've done alot of reading on this subject. It can be overwhelming, but start small and try to focus on each Tier bit by bit and then scale it.

I am at a loss in reading the comments for the types of backlinks. My take on quality backlinks are the link of your site that you posted on a popular site. Take for instance a comment on a popular blog. It is considered a good backlink because of the huge number of readers of that site. When you post something on a big forum, the same applies with your backlink that it is considered quality backlink.
