Hello all. What are some good free online sites and tools to check web rankings with?

I use several myself but they're not really great great.

So I was just wondering if anyone here knows of any such sites or tools?

Some I use already are

Is okay but always often tells me "This keyword/domain has been flagged as being checked excessively." even though I haven't used that keyword before!

Doesn't appear to work properly all the time.

Really good tool and shows other sites ranking for those keywords and more info along with the domains that are ranking for them.

What are some other free online rank checker sites and tools guys?

Hey Mike, I really want you to take a look at ranktrackr.com - this is what I use for all my clients at the moment. It is the most accurate keyword ranker I ever found and it works for every country, which I found great because most rankers don't search for Romanian Google Ranks.

It has a load of statistics like what went up what went down in the last 24h, as well as a weekly chart for every keyword. It also shows you the number of searches for each keyword along with other things.

The best feature is that you can export everything in excel format AND pdf format with already made charts and all that.
As far as price goes, well, a trial version is free and you can add up to 100 keywords and its available for 10 days. In the 9th day, I just export everything via excel and create another trial account and carry on from there, trust me, I never had problems doing this from the same IP address and I have dozen of these accounts created every week.

I have never used a paid tool to check my rank, I have always used free tools. Do you think free tools are as much reliable as premium tools.? Does a free tool give accurate information when it comes to determining website ranking?
I have alexa tool bar on my browsers. This tool gives the rank (alexa rank) and the number of sites linking to that website. How close are alexa ranking and search engine ranking?

I guess ordinary mortals like us whose website are personal and small in size should be availing of free tools and apps for their needs because it is not worth to spend money for a small site that earns small. I have to agree that free tools perform much the same as the paid tools that we can find in the internet although I have to admit that it is more convenient when you are using paid tools.

That's what I believe. I have many websites. These websites do not earn me much. Therefore, I am not using premium services. If I begin to use premium services, I will have to pay from my pocket. Therefore, I have to rely on the data given by a free tool and also believe that the data is accurate.

Oh yes I see Codebots just added the website that I use quite a bit smallseotools.com and as you can see they have quite a lot of tools that you can use as well as to check rankings with.

I use them to check that the guest posts people seI am nd in are unique. I have also used a good few of their other tools and so far they all seem to work just fine.

I am not sure how they compare with other sites and tools since I haven't really used other tools. I am a blogger not an SEO freelancer so these do just fine for me.

Hi Lynne,

I think that you are right. Small SEO Tools in my opinion is one of the best free websites with SEO tools. It have more than 30 tools that helps users to improve your SEO or check it.

Is a great option if you not want to spend money.
