What's the worst time for a sales drop?

At what time of year do you experience the most sales drops? I think it would be at holiday time, though possibly it would vary depending upon your niche

Sales mostly drop on holidays like Christmas and some time after, but that's why you should organize some discounts and put some services on sale, create discount coupons etc, to boost your sales as much is possible and keep your business going while you also rewarding your customers

I often find that purchases near holidays such as Christmas, or even New Years, there is an influx in sales.. for me at least.. I don't often apply any coupons, or discounts, however this year I may do the 50% OFF for all my products. I'm hoping this will bring in the sales, and I'll earn enough to cover living expenses during this time.

I always notice a drop around holidays and it's mainly because I sell a service that people use for themselves. And the biggest holiday in the US is Christmas, and people are being selfless by buying gifts for other people. And if people only purchase my services for their own purposes, they won't be buying them around Christmas lol. Around every other holiday I see a drop in sales as well, but not as much as Christmas. I notice a drop in sales starting in early November and lasting about 2 weeks into January. I'm pretty sure this has to do with all the shopping people are doing for Christmas presents. And when it picks up in mid January I think that's due to people not finding anymore sales in stores or online. I do get some sales during these times, just not as many.

I don't make as much money around holidays, especially Christmas, but luckily I have other revenue sources to supplement my income. And since I know when the slow times are for sales online, I know when to prepare for them. I won't go out and pay for a $2,000 web design when I know a slow time is coming. I could take a chance on the design and hope it starts to make money right away when I launch, but that's rare. I've taken a few weeks to set up a website and then it doesn't profit for 6 months, that's why I don't try any hail marrys in the online world lmao What

Hi sanfora thanks for your question. I may answer almost same type of question to other post on CD. I think it is depend on various festival. I never see noticeable fall to sale my services but last years I just felt my sale few decrease for one month when Christmas was going. And I realized most of the European and American people are celebrate Christmas. And most common idea maximum buyer come from those countries. And few may fall or drop in Eid -el-fitir, where Muslim should celebrate. And you may face slow day each weekend. Though, I never feel.

The summer months are a little less busy overall as most people take a week or so off at least. And obviously at Christmas time and until the New Year unfolds. 4th of July weekend was also noticeable. I feel it is okay and part of the routine of sellers to notice a decline in sales during these days. For those who want to keep working despite the holidays it is a good idea to launch discounted rates or some sort of sale. But I tend to prefer to take it a bit easy like the majority of people to be honest.

When I had my own offline business, the lean months are during the rainy season of July to September and the peak season starts in November that lasts until the first week of January. My business is retailing of ready-to-wear clothes. But I guess it depends on the type of business that you have regarding the off season and peak season for your sales. It’s always on a case to case basis.
