What are the best free image hosting sites today in 2016?

I guess this should be in the Web Hosting category as that's what it is only for images! Over the years we've had some great free image hosting sites like Photobucket and Tinypic! I know you know and remember these sites no matter who you are! These days though everyone has their preference and or favorite.

I usually use IMGUR imgur.com or IMGUP imgup.net as they're both pretty stable but sometimes the lesser known image hosts are good to use to unless they go down, which they can do and then subsequently all your images do too.

What's your favorite preferred image uploading site and why?

Or do you prefer to upload images only to your own site?

Another question. More about adding images to SEOClerks. How do you attach an image to a post in the FAQ area without using the image short code? What is a way to do that so SEOClerks is hosting the image rather than relying on a free image hosting site to do it which could go down at any minute and mean images not showing. Because I use some of these sites in some of my faq posts and don't want that to happen.

Thanks!

Mike.

I do remember photobucket and tinypic, but I was never fond of these two. I use imgur. I personally think it's easy and reliable, which is why I use it.

When I create a new FAQ I just simply choose the file on my computer and upload it to seoclerks. That way, the screenshot or image will be visible as long as seoclerks is. This reply is made using my phone and I don't have any options for images, so that could be a good thing to implement.

Best regards,

I remember Tinypic; I used to use them but I got fed up with them because the website is just full of ads and very slow. Now I either use Imgur or host is on my own server. Imgur is great and you can upload multiple images at once with a few clicks and this is why that is my first option. However, for images on my websites, I just upload it on my server as it looks more professional for the image to be hosted on my personal server with my domain.

Here are two images which tells you where to upload the image.
Firstly press the image button as shown here:

I don't use an image hosting site and I can't quite understand what the use for this would be?

The key of an image hosting is to give your image a URL. The point of this is that you can easily share pictures online using a URL. For example, you can send the URL of the picture to a friend so they can see it. If you want to post an image on a forum, then you will either need to attach it onto your post or embed your URL into an img tag. It will be easier to format posts with pictures when you have a URL. In the Community Discussions, you can’t attach images so the only way is to get a URL and place it into your post.

Oh man am I old school. If I want to share a picture with someone I will email it haha.

I haven't had the need to add an image in a forum before. I see this forum there is an option to upload an image which is nice. I only noticed that now... maybe I will bless you with an image one day What are the best free image hosting sites today in 2016?

I do remember Photobucket as well, as I used to use it all the time but I have never heard of Tinypic! I will have to look into it and learn some more about it! Thanks! As for right now I use Google drive and actually pay for it because I am pretty sure there are limits on how much you can store on some of these free image up loaders. My wife and I have 3 children so we take lots of pictures, to the point where our phones will tell us to delete pictures to create more space! What are the best free image hosting sites today in 2016? I like the fact that I have unlimited storage and can access my pictures anywhere!

Adding a quality picture on the website or blog can increase its visibility and significantly improve the engagement. Beware that although the site where it is hosted does no mention the policies of use or type of license so it does not mean that they can be used for free.

I also used PhotoBucket like ten or more years ago. I think there are better options available right now.

My top three are Imgur, Tinypic, and Imgbb.

They are all very fast with uploading, you can make an account on each one if you wish to save your pictures and so on and they all provide various links plus have quick options to share it on different social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, ...). Very, very handy.
