Well it all depends what your video is about and the length of it but the title and description of it come into play more importantly than anything else. Since your title will want to have the keywords in it that you want to rank for and also they will want to be in the description area as well. Since a YouTube video is just a webpage like any other you will need to do good on page SEO of it first by optimizing your title and the description too. Now we know that longer descriptions with more content usually ranks higher and it's the one place you can take advantage of for that reason so you want to have a great description there. Some YouTubers put only small descriptions or nothing at all and this doesn't do them any favours although for some niches of videos those can still do well too. But generally videos with a long description do better because it gives you the chance to really sell the video and open it up to people much more. You should put a description about the video and whatever it's about. Mentioning all the biggest points and putting links to your social profiles or valuable sources of interest for your viewers and readers of it. Making good sure to put your main keywords in the description a couple times of course for good effect. You'd be surprised how many people want to rank for something and don't even have those words in their title or on the page anywhere.
By the way, I don't mean to self-promote. But I do have a number of genuine real YouTube video promotion services for sale. Check out my profile for them as I do social media marketing of them none of those fake view things just real social media posting to people where your targeted audience is going to be.
We also want to optimize our videos on YouTube because we are having a campaign to get more subscribers in order to reach the minimum 1,000 subscribers required for our channel to be qualified for monetization. The only step we did was to edit the keywords to add some more unique keywords and to delete the most common keywords. We also changed some titles that are unique but not symbolic.
