    How long did it take for your hosting to start?

    Once you chose the hosting package you wanted and paid for it, how long was it before you could login and begin building your site? Was the process immediate for your hosting company or did you have to wait?

    Your host company may ask you to wait 24 hours before you can access your host space as they will need to set up your account, confirm payment and ensure you have proper credentials to access your site online.

    Oww ! 12 hours...! :eek: I would rather fly to the host and upload my site from my pendrive How long did it take for your hosting to start?

    Believe me when I say, the most time consuming item on my list of "From Zero to Deploy" of a new site is purchasing a domain.

    Honestly, it takes me 50 seconds to use a new server at my current host.

    If you're hosting a new website then for sure it will be live in a moments. And If you are transferring your hosting / domain from one hosting company to another then it will take Hours ( 8-12 Hours ) depends upon the webhosting company. If you are thinking for transferring to a fast, reliable host then I would suggest you to migrate it to http://waxspace.com they wont charge you Migration fees How long did it take for your hosting to start?

    Maybe that is only true if you have purchased a domain from this company. Likely it will not be true if you only transfer in a domain. Then you can access your hosting immediately.

    It started off instantly for me. As soon as I made payment, I had received complete login details along with DNS and other stuff

    I have been using Crocweb and leapswitch, and completely satisfied with them! Have used Arvixe before for about 2 years, but their down-time had increased.
