    Things that bug you about Facebook

    One of the things that bothers me about Facebook is how easy it is for people to message, even those not on the friends list. Also, all the spammy groups. It's no better than Yahoo Groups (back in the day when they were popular to use). Also, I don't really want 'friends of friends' seeing things I tag my friends in.

    Just some things that bug me about Facebook.

    Privacy controls on Facebook are iffy. I'm constantly having to check new posts to ensure that only those tagged (with private family related updates/photos, etc) are able to see.

    Although I'm concerned over the Facebook messaging situation, it makes sense they would have it that way as sometimes you will be part of a group where you need to get messages from those not on your friend list. Though t his bothered me for awhile, I've learned to deal with the situation. Now, I'm more likely to hit the report/block button.

    What bugs a lot is some stupid tagging from unknown source. you would tagged along with unnecessary videos and text and some nonsensical Facebook chat.No decorum from some users at all.

    Events invitations. I get lots of them daily. I wish I could somehow turn off the "event" feature on Facebook, but that is not possible.

    Facebook, like Google, oozes with creepiness when it comes to how "privacy" (or lack of) comes in conflict with their need to serve targeted ads. I avoid both as much as possible.

    I agree on the friends of friends thing. I hate that feature. Although you have an option now to set your audience to custom or friends only. But still, if a friend tags you and they set it specially in public. Kind of frustrating for me specially if it's about a video or a picture where you don't look good or something. smh. >.>

    As the name implies, social media is a virtual society whereyou can see people and meet them. Particularly for Facebook users with a pretty
    face, it is normal to receive friend requests from people they don’t really
    know. It’s not really bad because as I said, social media is a virtual society
    so might as well take advantage of it. Of course, you have to be choosy with
    new friends but on the other hand, you can easily unfriend them if you don’t
    find them interesting. Besides, those annoying friends can be blocked so they
    will be out of your social media life.
