    Optimize tags on products; product photos and images; videos. Be sure to include unique product descriptions (not the ones provided by your supplier). If needed. rewrite product descriptions so as not to fall victim to duplicate content penalties.

    Also, to get fresh content constantly on an ecommerce site, encourage your customers to submit written reviews and video reviews. This will help your ecommerce pages rank higher for targeted keywords, due to constant activity.

    As with my usual response, it is the contents that I want to focus on. Fresh contents make for a good SEO of the website and it can cause new traffic from the search engines. But I also think keywords are important because the kind of searchers now usually have a vague idea of what they are searching for hence they resort to related words like looking for a dog, they would search for pets or domesticated animals.
