    How often should content be updated?

    Is it important to update the contents of a static page or blog often? Or, should you simply do more backlink to get better exposure in search engines?

    Of course, it helps to update a blog regularly, but those are considered new pages. Does adding content to an existing page help search engine ranking in any way for relevant keywords?

    Depends on what kind of site you have. If you have a blog a few times a week or daily if you can would be great. For a website, not as often.

    I usually update content once per month per keyword for my adsense site, and for CPA site, I don't update content, just high quality links are enough to rankHow often should content be updated?

    I take myself as an example I hate to logged in to a site with the last update like a week ago.I feel I'm reading an old stuff so for that on my blog I try to update daily at least one post daily.

    So I believe post should be updated daily for a good site.

    For forums it should be daily. Blogs a few times a week unless you do a daily blog. Websites should have new content added at least once a week I feel.

    If it's a Blog then you can update it; once in two to three days.
    If it's Content we are talking about then you need to update it once in a week: it's is suffice.
    You can also try PDF Submission and PPT and Forums.

    For a website there is no need to add or upadate content frequently. But for a blog you have to update the content on daily or weekly basis.

    For forums it should be daily. Blogs a few times a week unless you do a daily blog. Websites should have new content added at least once a week I feel.


    It's very ironic how a blog is considered "frequently updated" if it gets a few new posts a week. But a forum is considered dead if it only gets 2 or 3 posts a week. Maybe Google doesn't distinguish between a blog and forum for purposes of updates.

    For a website there is no need to add or upadate content frequently. But for a blog you have to update the content on daily or weekly basis.

    And, why don't static html websites need to be updated? Does Google give a static website special consideration that exempts it from needing an update periodically?

    If your website is related to top niche category, it is best to keep it update with latest information in order to attract traffic.

    I have read in an article that a popular blogger said uploading new blogs 3 times a week is pretty good so that readers will not be overloaded. However, it depends on the kind of blog. For blogs dealing in current events, it is suggested that a daily posting is better and some bloggers even post twice in a day depending on the development of the news. But for niche that are not dynamic, I guess that every other day posting of new blog is just fine. Not to forget one thing – it also depends on the readers of your blog. If they want a daily posting then so be it.
