You can use copyscape to check whether your content has been copied by other websites or not. All you have to do is enter the url and run the tool. Copyscapes checks for the webpages for similar contents.

Thanks to this information I now know what to do. I always thought copyscapes are only for checking if the content from a writer has been plagiarized before approving their work and paying them. It is because I have never used it before but my employers use it.

My question is, what if the content is rewritten? Will copyscape show the content is copied?

If the writer rewrites the entire sentences and uses synonyms, it is difficult to find out whether the content is original or stolen content. The rewritten article can be termed duplicate but not plagiarised. Duplicate means similar content exist, plagiarised means the content has been lifted.

There are services which will monitor, but for a quick check, you can just place a quote on Google. Any site with the same quoted words will come up.
