Google doesn't think that SEO is dead. They just want bloggers and webmasters to use legitimate methods to get their attention. So maybe whitehat SEO is evolving and blackhat SEO is dying?

Maybe Google is thinking about its stand with the users who are abusing the SEO methods. I have read one discussion with a warning from Google that sites with excessive keywords can be charged to be spamming. Now I am wondering if all those talks are true or not because I have noticed that there are so many myths surrounding the SEO industry and rumors and gossips are going around the internet.

It will not be dead as few do it. It be dead when everyone does it.

Everyone do it, but not as much as others do. Even when writing articles, there are times that you won't notice that you are doing optimizations on it.

Part of good SEO is content creation. And, as long as people write blog posts, they will be doing on page SEO, whether they like it or not.

Yeah. That's what I always say to some people who asks about on page SEO. As long as you write detailed and good constructed articles, you are good to go.

So many people over think SEO, it's just all about good content on site and a few high quality backlinks off site to ensure that Google can find your most recent posts.

Even if you don't do a backlinking campaign, as long as you are writing original and helpful articles, the links will definitely follow.

Sometimes people link to good content to do their friends a favor. Other times, bloggers link to good content as it keeps them from having to rewrite a similar post and still serves their readers best interest.

Yeah. But just linking them would make them go out of your page early, hence giving you a bounce?

I'm sure this could be counted as a bounce but not necessarily in a negative way. I'm sure search engines have a way to detect if the person is coming in from search engines and bouncing back to the search page versus going into a site and leaving via a link to an add/another site.

I wonder where this idea came from because the search engine is the most used website. Google is the number 1 website in terms of traffic and the other search engines, Yahoo and Bing, are also in the top 10 websites. Anyway, SEO is the optimization of the website for purposes of the search engines. It can only be dead if the search engines are all dead otherwise SEO will be alive as long as the search engines are alive and kicking.
