No follow links~ do they count really? I feel that a link is a link no matter if it is do or nofollow. Do you agree with me?
Yes. i agree. Although no follow links can't help much in SEOs perspective, it will definitely help people get to see you site, thus a traffic still.
Are you sure you want to delete this post?
Yes... nofollows almost certainly DO HELP your site. Don't believe what every guru or SEO 'specialist' tells you. Plus it doesn't look natural if your site has all dofollow links
Check out this study/article and slideshow from SEOMoz:
there's no harm in having no follow links, but they won't help you rank. there was a case study in here a while ago that more or less proved that.
I guess you can think of them as a king of insurance if you like though - it can't hurt to have some in your profile.
Google does not count the nofollow in the sense that it does not count that link for assigning the weightage of that pagerank to your site pagerank. But nofollow links still consider as the traffic to the site.
From SEO point of view you won't get any link juice from nofollow links. But nofollow links will make your website look more natural, therefor Google will rank it better (if you have dofollow and nofollow, rather then having only dofollow).
No follow links doesn't count so much but instead of nothing they ar good
No follow links doesn't help you to increase your ranking in search engine but they can be valuable in bringing good traffic to your site..
they always help you to get some traffic so must use it in ratio of 80:20 so that it will also bring back some traffic and will not Leave footprint as well if your 80% are Dofollow and 20% are no follow.
Do-Follow Links are good for Human Traffic and SEO Traffic.No-Follow Links are only good for Human Traffic which is still the best traffic you can have.
No follow links do indeed still count! It's healthy that your site has both no follow and do follow links. Actually, there's no such thing as a do follow link. There are only no no follow links (links that aren't no follow). Because all links are do follow automatically, it's only when the no follow tag has been applied to them that makes them a no follow link. But you're absolutely right in that a link is a link is a link at the end of the day. And even if its a no follow link, that doesn't mean it doesn't have any value! You can still receive clicks and traffic through that link. You just wont get and Page Rank juice flowing through it at all. But it doesn't mean Google wont still give you the benefit of having it.
From what I understand based on the discussions that I had read in this site, the no-follow link does not give credit to the backlink that you place in that site in terms of search engines. But the backlink still works when a reader of that site would click on the backlink of your site thus giving you traffic. But unlike the do-follow where you get double benefit, the no-follow URL is not much beneficial.
