    Where are the best places to advertise a beauty blog?

    I have a beauty/health blog that focuses on women's beauty products/skin care regimes and would like some ideas for where to advertise. So far, i've been leaving blog comments on other beauty related blogs and using a forum signature on beauty/health forums. Any other ideas?

    Have you tried Facebook? You can post your new articles on beauty related pages.

    Can you pin photos on Pinterest? Most beauty blogs feature dozens of beautiful photos that would be perfect for pinning. Your photos would probably be repinned regularly.

    I like the idea of using Pinterest. There is a beauty section there and many would see it. I feel that this would be the best way to do it.

    I think that you do a lot online to promote your site. Use pinterest, post on fb, get links on other sites. You could also try yahoo answers and answer questions to link back to your site.

    Of course, you need to do a lot of things to promote a site. But, what works best on yours?

    Hi,
    here's an idea that can work very well for quality advertising and can bring you targeted traffic for times to come; it will also help build your reputation has an expert:
    Find high traffic (of course) blogs in you area of interest, and instead of just leaving comments, here's what you should do: Contact the owner (look in the blog for the email under "contact us", etc.) and offer to guest post in return for simply leaving your link at the end of the article — guest posting is when you post an article of yours in another person's blog — most bloggers will happily agree, since they need fresh content continually. You only need some original, relevant articles to send them to do this. If you can't write them yourself, just look around at SC, you'll find someone to write them at a good price.
    Your articles will be read by potentially thousands of people interested in your blog's subject, and if they like the article, a lot of them will click through to check it out.

    Hi, you may try social networks to advertise your blog. Write articles/lens about your blog. This will take pretty long time so you should be patient and work hard! Good luck.

    guest posting is when you post an article of yours in another person's blog

    This is a good to increase traffic or viewers for your blog.
    You can also ask for a link exchange on sites that offers one. This one can give you constant traffic for the time period your link is posted on that high traffic site.

    Pinterest seems very popular right now and there is a beauty section on there if I am not mistaken. Check it out and pin some of your stuff.

    That's a good idea, actually. And, you can include keywords in the title/description of the video and those will be picked up by Google search. So a really good chance of getting the video on Google video search. Many people search just for videos now, not just text results on Google.

    When I was co-blogging for a niche of pets, I used to post a comment on blogs about animals, home care and even children care. Anything that is related to pets will be appreciated although it depends on the particular blog. With a beauty blog, you can go to relationship blogs, family blogs, teenagers plus students. Beauty is all about people so I guess it will be appropriate for any blog about people.
