What do you hope to accomplish by hiring a content writer?

What are your goals when you hire a content writer? Do you know ahead of time what you will achieve?

For instance, if I'm hiring a person to write a blog post for me, then it's usually because I have an item that I want to recommend to my blog readers. So this post is more like an affiliate product recommendation. So my goal is to make sales from the content written by that person.

I would want keyword optimized posts from a professional writer; good writing to entertain my readers. It's not always about making money directly so much as keeping people coming back to your site.

I just want content. Especially important if I don't have time to write. Also, I want someone to create forum posts. I can't get my forum members to write what I want. Maybe someone else can do that for me. That would be my goal when hiring someone.

I agree that most would want high quality content. Content that will help your site get the traffic that you want it to get.

It would depend on the kind of content that you need because content writers are varied. Let’s say you sell different products from your various suppliers and you needed a sort of product launch for each particular product then a commercial advertisement writer is what you need. The blurb of the product would be written in a natural way so that readers can relate to what they are reading.
