What's your idea of a good income as a freelancer?

My idea of financial success might not be yours. For one person, $1.00 a day might be a lot, for another $1000 a day might not be enough. Just saying, money is all subjective.

What's your idea of a good freelance income? What would it buy for you?

I just want to be able to live comfortably. I don't need fancy things to survive. As long as there's food on the table, and my bills are paid, I am a happy gal, and my boys (@Asmodeus & Colbie) have full bellies What

I believe if we are comfortable and we can pick our bills when due without struggling then we know we are doing well

Though I'm yet to get to this stage which I know I will get there soon I believe with hard work we can get there.

Whether I earn a lot or a little, all my earnings go toward paying for my family's bills. And, it's always been that way. I get a few things for myself, but, that is always low priority. My family's well being is always my top priority when it comes to earning money and spending money and their happiness is first.

Right now, my goal is to earn a full living from my freelance services and writing online. I would love to branch out into other niches that will allow me to have residual income. That will ensure that I can spend as much time as I need with my family and loved ones while still earning a good income.

The first few mistakes I did when I first started out doing work online, was to compare myself & my results with others. That's probably one of the most stupidest things I've done. (When talking about this subject.)

I saw people making tons of cash and I was so thrilled & excited since I found out HOW they did it.. Unfortunately, 90% on the web is pure garbage and the other 10% is something you'll have to pay lots of money for gaining access too. (I refer to "step by step guides" etc. Not services or other things.)

The first few days become weeks.. Weeks passed and became months.. I still had nothing. However, I'm not that kind of guy who's ready to quit as soon as I hit a brick wall.. So I just kept going. I read and read. I did reasearch. I joined multiple marketplaces.. Long story short, here I am.

I make a decent amount of cash each month today. Although, I actually spend more than I earn right now, because I'm throwing money all over the place in all kinds of directions, as soon as I found something that sounds "cool". So, I invest in peoples ideas so to speak.

Some of them works great and others is pure loss.. That's life.

With all this said, I'm satisfied as long as I can cash out around $200 each week.. After I've paid some bills. Fortunately, this has gone quite well the last couple of months.. but I've lost thousands of dollars until today, because I'm too impulsive and not thinking things through before I give my money away. (Yeah, I'm stupid. What)

Short Answer to this question:
As long as I can afford spending time doing work, I'll be working. That's pure profit.

Regards,
hitmeasap

A few years ago, when I had managed to save around $1000, I decided to invest that money and make more money. I was new to online investment and fell into the trap of HYIP programs. I lost my entire money. Now I have learned the lesson, you can earn by investing online, but you have to invest in the right program. I have invested in a handful of websites. I am not earning a good ROI, but at least my investment is secured.

When I first started online about ten years ago, I was the same way, investing into various ideas to find the right path. Now I have a better idea of what works for me and just want to spend more time on the promotion or advertising aspect so as to increase my potential earnings.

This is not to brag that I am earning so much from my full time job. And to expect that kind of money from my freelancing is not logical. As of now, my expectation is very low like $50 to $100 a month. Maybe if I become adept in freelancing then my monthly earnings can rise to $1,000 and that may be enough for my needs.

You have a realistic aim. Since you are already earning your livelihood from your regular job, online income is just a side income and making a goal of earning $50-$100 per month is doable. You can earn this amount just by posting on forums.

I am based in Nepal. The current USD to Nepali rupees exchange rate is $1 = 102 NPR. I need at least $500 to pay my bills. If I want to save money, I need to earn more than $500. Therefore, I need to make at least $1000 in a month. If I can make that money as a freelancer, I will consider a good income.

I would like to increase my total online earnings from all the sites I'm working at to atleast $400 a month. There was a time that I was close to this amount but sadly some of the sites I've been working in suddenly closed shop. Now I'm just earning just above $200 a month which is way below my countries minimum monthly wage. But I'm still thankful and hopefully other online opportunities would come soon.
