Have you tried to find joint venture partners with other bloggers, maybe someone who would cross promote your site as you promote them too? What types of joint venture events did you set up so far?

I have not tried this but I do feel that it would be a great venture for someone that was successful already and wanted to promote their blog even more.

Depending on what you blog about, you should be able to easily find joint venture partners who are in a complementary niche. For instance, cooking or recipe blogs could easily promote each other. Same goes for internet marketing or SEO blogs.

Cross promote, hmm, that is a nice term. A partnership with another blogger regarding traffic is beneficial to both parties. I used to write for a blogsite that invited me which made me a co-blogger. And I was greatly surprised to learn later that my writings would be paid. It's just sad that the blog owner had lost spare time to maintain the blog and I was tasked to continue. Unfortunately, I also didn't have the time hence the blog is hibernating now although I am sure that it is easy to revive.

Guest blogging!
I submit guest posts on my friends blog and they will give me backlinks to my website. I publish guest post from my friends on my blog and I give them backlinks. By doing so, I divert my readers to my friends' blog and vice versa. Guest posting is also a great way to bring new readers to your website and give your existing readers a new taste.
