    Which is better? Keyword or keyphrase?

    Which do you feel is better to have? A single keyword or a keyphrase? I have seen both be successful. Myself, I happen to like keyphrases.

    "Camera" can be a keyword, however, it does not say anything specific. "DSLR Camera" is two words keywords, it says more. "Best DSLR Camera" is a keyphrase, which explains what the searcher is actually looking for. Therefore, keyphrase is always better than keyword/s. When the search query exactly matches with the keyphrase you are targeting, you are likely to rank higher.

    I have come across a discussion that says a keyword which is just 1 word is very common and the chance of getting noticed by search engines is very slim. A keyphrase is what it means – a keyword that contains several words. Just like the example of @Vinaya, the DSLR camera as a keyphrase is somewhat qualified versus the keyword camera which is a very broad term.
