Backorder on Domain - Taking Forever!

Hi, I recently have a backorder on my domain name. I did the WHOIS on the domain name and nothing has changed. I don't understand this because the domain name expired on 9/17 and I know there's already been an auction on the domain name. Why hasn't the domain name been requested to delete and ready to be added to the registry?
I did this all through GoDaddy, the domain name is upnextapparel.com so you guys can do the WHOIS.

What's taking so long and when should I expect to be rewarded the domain?

Thanks!

You have introduced me to a subject I know nothing about. However, there is an article which discusses domain backorder and this is a quote extracted from the article "A back-ordering service does not guarantee that they will be able to acquire the domain for you."

I agree with the quote. However, I only know few things about this field. I think I must check this link and learn about new things. Thank you.

Backordering domain name doesn't guaranty that you will own it ever in the future. Maybe, maybe not. I guess it could happen only once it's completely expired and removed from the registrar, which takes about two months after initial domain name expired i guess. This rarely happens only when someone really abandons domain name completely or delete from their accounts

This is a subject that I am not all that familiar with. However, I've gotten some useful tips that I could use when I want my own domain especially when I want to purchase. The link had some very useful content as well and I can't help but appreciate being available on this platform.

Due to the fact all backordered domains undergo the procedure of an auction, GoDaddy comes with automated bidding. The first individual to place a backorder on a specific domain could be given the hole bid thru their backorder purchase without a extra value. users may also be immediately notified when more than one people are interest in and bidding at the equal domain name, and while the domain name expires and turns into available for public sale.

I am guessing you have to wait for say 72 hours. And if that does not work out. Then file a support ticket. That should be giving you some idea about the domains. So if you can find out if they follow up. And you should be giving some sort of the follow up on that note. That can show you if that works out.

Thank you for that information. I will keep that in mind, so if I will have the same problem I will have an idea on how to fix it.

Godaddy has really been pretty dodgy over the last few years in terms of customer service. This is why I decided to have my domains hosted with Namecheap.

I really know nothing about this topic. But since I'm planning to create a website for my blogs, I think this will help me in the future. Thanks for the informations.

In addition to checking domain is website available, there is another interesting point that should be mentioned. This is the Whois service - checking domain information. The button is next to the pick button. If you click on it, information regarding the selected address will be displayed: DNS server, NS address, registrar name of this site, date of registration, expiration and release of this domain name. This is an interesting and sometimes useful tool.
