Invest in the people, not the programs, and you will be more successful

No matter if you're an investor or you're trying to start your own business with great employees, you need to invest in the people and not the business itself if you want to be more successful down the road.  You're doing this because the people behind the scenes are the ones who are going to make your business great instead of something that is easily forgettable.

People run businesses all the time, and they have great teams in place to manage everything, but they definitely fired people along the way and now have something in place that helps them be more successful.  Yes, you'll likely need to fire people here and that throughout the years, but it's necessary if you're the business owner and want to be successful quicker than if you kept everyone employed.

In this discussion, I'll go over a few things you need to remember when it comes to investing in the people, not the programs, that will make you more successful.

The service is only as good as the person running it
No matter what you're buying, it is only as good as the person who is running it, and that even goes across every business online or offline.  You could be purchasing an SEO service or buying a coffee pot online if they're run by lazy people or someone who doesn't know what they're doing, the product or service will be less than great.

The service will only be as detailed and perfected as much as the actual person doing them is.  The products you find in stores or online are only as good as the people designing them.  Dedication is key and it's needed in order to run the best service or sell the best products, so remember that.

Knowledge, experience, and dedication are what you want
Understanding what you're going to do, knowing what you're going to do, and actually dedicating yourself to the product or service will show when the end results are something the buyer or seller is happy to send out.

Digital services will all say they're the best, so you'll have to figure out who is the best if you're bringing them onto your team, but you shouldn't have to go too deep through here if you want to find someone credible.  If you're looking for the best manufacturers, just look up some online reviews and get a good idea of who to work with and who to avoid.

Online reviews are key to filling your team with the best people or companies possible, so just do your research Invest in the people, not the programs, and you will be more successful

Know someone is smarter than you
If you can wrap your head around the fact that you're not the smartest person in the field of your profession, you'll either work harder to be more successful than anyone else, or you hire the smarter people that you don't want to compete with lol.

Don't see smart people as an obstacle, see them as a goal for yourself to overcome, and you'll be more successful down the road Invest in the people, not the programs, and you will be more successful

Strategically fill voids within your own skill set
If you can design the absolute best website in the world, and the scripting, as well as the designs, are flawlessly put together, you might not be the best at online marketing or just talking to people over the phone.

To fix this, you need to bring someone on board that can do things you're not comfortable doing, like marketing or just talking to people each day and boosting your business for the better Invest in the people, not the programs, and you will be more successful

In conclusion
If you know that you can't do everything yourself, you likely have the mindset that's needed in order to be successful, so start investing in the people you surround yourself with instead of the programs or services and you will start to see your business building for the better Invest in the people, not the programs, and you will be more successful

It's a very good point to invest in people and not in programs when it comes to owning and running a business. But at the world is going deeply into technology advancement, robotics and machines, we are witnessing a lot of people's job being replaced by programs and robots. Is this progression a positive or negative impact in our world at the moment?

True, there are a lot of programs coming out that are killing jobs, but you should still invest in the person if you're trying to build a company that doesn't rely on robots Invest in the people, not the programs, and you will be more successful

Some things killing the web design industry are services that help someone build a website with a simple drag and drop type system to build a page or an entire website. Web designers have probably seen their sales drop over the years because now everyone can get a website up and running with these builders or just a simple and free theme for WordPress. They just have to purchase their domains, hosting, and wait for everything to be linked together before they upload the systems or themes. Some big hosting companies actually have website builders for their customers, which aren't the greatest builders, but it lets people try out website design and decide if they need something custom or not.

Another thing that is hurting jobs is automated chat bots since we don't need people to interact with visitors that are on our site and the moment. We can adjust our chatbots in a way that it will respond to our potential customers in a way that increases our chances to profit. Some chat bots actually work pretty well and boost conversions through simple responses Invest in the people, not the programs, and you will be more successful

Yes Tommy, in as much as some of these programs are good at what they are programmed to do, take for instance the effect of chat bots, when adjusted perfectly, they would even be more prompt and good at welcoming a new member once they drop in. And also the issue is getting free landing pages that helps people to easily build their website at ease have seriously affected the job of professional web designers. It's a thing of shame but it's the world that we live in now.

Yes, that was a very good point. Hence, all are your assets. They can make you very successful. Machines and people are considered as an investment. Trust for the people in your job is a big key in order for you to be successful.

I think they have both negative and positive impact. Businesses tend to go more to A.I because it's efficiency in terms of productivity leaving only a portion of manpower. But i think in the future technology will have an effect on our natural resources and eventually businesses will fall back to manpower workforce.

I think it has both negative and positive impact. Positive because life becomes advanced and easier because of new technologies. Negative because human beings are being replaced by machines and robots. many people lose their jobs.

Do you know that the hardest kind of investment is people? Unless you are lucky with the people that work under you then it is fine. I have been with our bank for more than 30 years and there was a time that I handled 95 people in different projects. The turnover is high because once the employee learns the work he would apply to another company for career advancement. It is difficult to rely on the loyalty of workers.

Investing in people and getting them know what the business is all about is one of the ways that you can become successful in any business that you are looking at starting and even though ones that you are already into. One thing that is important in business is for the owners to see that once the employee is happy, the business is definitely going to be a success as the person will be doing everything to make things work pretty fine.

It's true what you just mentioned about investing in people with one's business. And one thing with working with human beings is that when you get the committed, loyal and dedicated individuals, they are going to sacrifice their blood and sweat to make your business grow and expand. Take note that there are dubious ones who will look at the chance of liquidating your business, so be careful with the kind of person you employ.

Yeah. Now a days we know every one Time=Money. Only peoples can be helpful for people on this way. Like you need a website and I can make it within a week. Than you are buying time from me and I am investing time+brain+experience for you to give you a beautiful website. For that reason this is easy to invest money for people to get some thing new and beautiful because peoples are innovative and technological. Technologies are getting change day by day.

Thanks

No man is an island, in any kind of business, a business owner needs teams of people to drive his business to success. Nowadays it's all about outsourcing the various processes this can multiply the production and efficiency level of the company, it also drastically reduces risks for the company.

I like what you said about realizing that other people are smarter than you. I think these days that can be a hard pill for people to swallow - everyone wants to be the best! But I do think that it's important to realize that others will have more knowledge, and greater skillsets, and that's okay! It can even be an opportunity to learn from them.

OMG! so profound. I equate this commentary to the saying that the only way to be a success is to grow and improve yourself as a person, because you are only as successful as your knowledge. I have worked in many a human resource department. When the workers are growing and happy the company makes super profit. When there is unrest, the company makes very little if any. This is a good philosophy, used by people like Virgin's Richard Branson.

“I equate this commentary to the saying that the only way to be a success is to grow and improve yourself as a person, because you are only as successful as your knowledge.”

I 100% agree with this sentiment. The truth is that we are only as successful as our own minds and hearts allow to be. We need to not only grow ourselves, but in turn help grow those around us. The fact is that no one can do it alone, and the stronger we make those on our team, the stronger the company is going to be as a whole. One strong CEO is nothing without the team of brilliant minds supporting him.

“Don't see smart people as an obstacle, see them as a goal for yourself to overcome, and you'll be more successful down the road.”

This is a fantastic point, and I’m glad that someone out there still thinks this way! An intelligent person doesn’t try to compete with someone he knows is more competent than him. You try to work with them and coerce them into joining your side. Teaming up with some of the brightest people in your field, no matter what field that is, is a fantastic way of building a solid, competitive empire.

If you check out the history behind tech giants like Apple and Microsoft, you’ll know that’s how a lot of them pulled off their initial success. I say initial because there was a lot of backstabbing later on, but the point stands.

I would be glad to know smart people particularly those smarter than I. In my experience with office work, I have subordinates who are really smart that they make the work easier. But for those who are not smart, I have noticed their common trait which is being a glib-tongue that they will try to fool you with their complex explanations of why something went wrong. Smart people would readily admit their mistakes and will immediately do the necessary corrections.

Business is an integration of work and society in my opinion. Your manpower is your drive in a business, keeping them well equipped and continuously trained is an investment but it gives you productivity and efficiency. It also helps your business to be more socially responsible in the environment of work.

I definitely agree with this. I think that it's better to invest on people rather than investing in programs because on the first place, people are the creators and developers of these certain programs. People with good skills are better to invest with. They would help you and your company grow and improve more and of course, become successful in the future. You'll know when a person has a potential in helping you or your company become successful when he/she is passionate with his tasks.

It is amazing what investing in people will make you acquire. At times we take people as last in a business. We treat them like robots or part of the machines. Human beings can really become more efficient if treated as people. Their dignity should come first.

People that are working in your company would be the first ones that you should invest too. Having a motivated workers will make a good work environment. It will result into a efficient work. You can also hired the best people in your company. Success can be achieved quickly if you have the quipped individuals in your company.

I totally agree with these. Its really true and best decision if you are going let someone to help you on things that you are not good at. Don't let the stress on your business drive all over you. If your family and close friends can help you, why not let them join and help you of things so everything will be organized. A company will last once every member value each other.
