Why you should care about blogging for your business

When it comes to pulling in traffic, readers, sign ups, sales, and overall some leads you'll need to think about blogging because it can do it all.  Yes, blogging is much more powerful than you think it could be and it's showing no signs of slowing down.  Think about it, how many times have you landed on a website after searching a basic term within Google or another search engine?  You landed on that website likely because of a blog post they made today, yesterday, last week, or last year.  The content stayed on their website and grew to a full fledged lead generation power house because of how it was written and how it was optimized.

Blogging will help you build an image online, not just by adding words to your sub pages, but by putting your own voice within content that people want to follow.  Each of your blog posts is like you're preaching to the congregation about the most amazing things you can think of, but if you do this wrong, they will see you as solely trying to get them to open up their wallets.  You need to blog in a way that will encourage people to come in, browse around all of your amazing content, and want to open up their wallets or sign up to your newsletter without you constantly pushing it in their face lol Why you should care about blogging for your business

In this discussion I'll be going over why you should care about blogging for your business, and those reasons are:

Blogging builds your brand easier
When you're publishing great content, you're taking the first step into branding your website, which is something every successful business needs to do if they want to become the authority within their industry.  Branding isn't something that happens overnight, but it is something that can come from blogging every single day and getting engagement within each post and responding to anyone that wants to know something or needs help.

Whenever you can get people on your website, you're doing the slightest bit of branding, and if you are getting massive amounts of content on your blog then you're going to get compounding results Why you should care about blogging for your business  The more you blog, the more you're branding, the more traffic that eventually comes to your website, and the more engagement and sales you'll eventually get when you're a year or two down the road Why you should care about blogging for your business

Fresh content brings in plenty of search engine traffic
It's no secret that content is king, and that means your blog posts are consider one little king on each post, which the search engines would love to see.  The search engines want to see high quality content written up in a way that doesn't constantly pitch the visitors of your pages.  The search engines want to provide the best content within their search results, and this means you could get top rankings solely from your optimized content, which would send you massive amounts of content over time Why you should care about blogging for your business

How many times have you been searching through the results of a highly targeted keyword and found a bunch of garbage content?  Never, because Google and the other search engines filter out the riff raff and only show quality to their searchers because they want each and every person to find exactly what they're looking for and be completely informed with just one article, not 10 different posts all talking about the same thing and having 1 little variation to their text.

Write up a lot of fresh content, optimize it for your readers as well as the search engines, and you will see the traffic spike as well as your bounce rate drop (which is a good thing lol).

People like to share informative blog posts
If you're writing a post that is 300 words long and you think it's the best thing out there, it's not, because someone else is writing something 10x longer with much more information and targeting the same people you are.  What do you think will happen when someone lands on your 300 word post?  They will read it in a minute and leave to find more information, and they'll likely land on the 3,000 word post that answers every single questions they could think of, then the person will share the post for anyone else to read if they want.

The time invested in writing longer posts isn't just so the search engines will like you better, even though they will, it's also for your readers so they don't have to find 2 or 3 articles to get all their questions answered.  The more clear and consise your content is, the better it will resonate with your target market, and the more frequently it will get shared for the masses to find and come read as well Why you should care about blogging for your business

Quality content will increase engagement across your blog
Engagement is a big thing when it comes to blogging, I even touched on this earlier in this discussion, engagement is what gets you even more traffic and more love from the masses.  Engagement can be anything from comments on your published posts to shares for other people to find you and read your content.  If you don't have something good written up, no one will want to engage with it, so get out there and write up some great content to boost your engagement and inevitably boost your sales Why you should care about blogging for your business

In conclusion
Blogging isn't just putting content on your website, it's building your brand and giving the people answers at the same time, which will usually result in a better ROI overall.  You should blog because you want to get the information within your head out in the open, and the masses will eventually flock to you after you've put in your time Why you should care about blogging for your business  Businesses are starting to realize the importance of blogging, they're actually hiring entire teams to produce content for their following as well as all the people searching on Google, Yahoo!, and Bing.  If the large corporations are seeing the importance of blogging, you should be taking notes, and getting your blog started if you haven't already Why you should care about blogging for your business

I think blogging for business needs to be approached with plan. Because it builds brand. And branding can't be rushed. It has to be done one step at a time. And it can be done with long term planning in mind. I have learned that some of the time people work harder on some business but they don't execute properly. That being said, blogging is no easy feat. And you have to approach it the right way.

Based on a combination of what are saying here and what Razzy is saying in the post above, I think that it is essential to carefully and thoughtfully think out your blog content associated with your brand. I have seen things go really wrong when there is a quality product but the written content connected to it is not decent or well-done. To build a brand, the content surrounding it must be quality, specific, and well edited. Also, the writing must be tailor-made to the brand and service or product itself.

Yes I think planning has to be in terms of the branding. And that seems to be the way for the blogging for business works out. You can see that some of the time it can be really good in terms of the business. Another thing is that blogging requires hell lot of efforts. And building brand around it takes a lot of time.

True--and blogging is just ONE concern when it comes to branding, right? There are many other factors involved and many other methods of branding to consider. Just coming up with a strong and recognizable logo, for example, can be tough, and finding ways to stand out from others in your own niche is also a constant challenge, and it becomes increasingly harder to do so every single day that passes.

Logo and instant communication with customers. And making them satisfied. That seems to be the case with the business. You can see that some of the time it can be really good. And for the business to properly work out. You should consider small factors that add up in the business.

You are right that branding cannot be rushed because it takes time to establish the reputation and image of your business. That may be the reason why some businesses use the influencer to promote their business because it is one way of establishing the brand quickly. Take note that an influencer can command his followers to agree to his endorsement and that can also mean leads for your business.

Branding is like one person at a time talk. And reaching inside head of that person and make him comfortable. That is kind of branding. And that does take time. Though influencers are there to make this process easier.

Yes, I think well thought out branding is going to do the most to build your brand and your business. I don't think you can just write anything and expect your brand to take off. Well thought out blogging would be the way to build your brand.

I think it is very important to blog about your business. If blogging is done the right way then it will definitely help in boosting your business. You must create quality content so as to attract readers to your blog. You can also create a Facebook page for your blog and advertise your business. You must also reply back to comments that visitors have left on your blog. This is no easy work. It requires hard work and dedication.

You just listed 4 huge plusses in your discussion that are "worth money!" However, many website owners don't want to blog because a lot of work is involved. But there are sites such as this one where people can hire bloggers or article writers at bargain prices. So even if people don't want to do the blogging themselves they still have no excuse. I don't see why they wouldn't want to blog for their business.

I agree, and, although I think that outsourcing and hiring freelancers is a great idea, and it gives others great opportunities, I would feel strange, I think, not being the main provider of content on my blogs. I am the "authority" of what I am doing there, per se, and I feel DIRECTLY attached and invested to the content in a way that I am not sure anyone else could be. You are right that blogging takes a ton of work, and to be honest, I am totally behind due to the holidays (I know, no excuses!), but I think that its rewards are worth the work, for sure.

Agree with you wholeheartedly. The rewards are worth it even though it's taken me years to finally start seeing the rewards. It does give me pride in my work.

I am basically blogger. I have half a dozen blogs. I am also an online entrepreneur, I have two e-commerce websites and thinking to launch the third one. I publish blog posts on my blogs, I also publish blog posts on my ecommerce websites. These blogs are built on the niche of the website. Since it is difficult to pull traffic from the products I am selling, I try to pull visitors from my blogs. By publishing posts optimized for search engines, I manage to bring visitors. When these visitors check my products, I make money.

I really hope that people would be sharing my blogs because that is one sure way of getting traffic. But blogging about a business, I have seen it in the blog of one veterinarian. And since her clinic also sells pet supplies, she gets more sales when she promotes a product in her blog. I think that readers of blogs that pertains to products are on the lookout for promos so they keep on coming back to read the blog just for that.

If you are using your blog to sell some products, that is one of the fastest ways that you are going to make money as long as those that visits your site are always ready to buy one or two things from the blog.

Blogging is one the biggest technique of white hat SEO- off page optimization. I know a guy of California who sales vape on the online world. By doing only web 2.0 tier 1 to tier 9 based back link pyramid method- he is earning monthly 50,000$ easily. I got astonished by watching the guy technique. The guy have personal cultivation land, personal laboratory and personal processing system with personal shipment procedures. All of the ways- the guys has been doing his works by his own hand and blogging is one of the main part of his sales.

Thanks
