What is your (on line) daily routine?

Establishing a daily routine for everything in life can be one of the aspects that will lead you to success (if you know how to take advantage of the situation), right? But unfortunately, this care seems to be neglected by many people who find it too easy to do.

So... Do you follow some kind of script regarding the activities you need to do while you are online? is there any sort of preference order (except for activities with close deadlines)?

I definitely do. I'm the sort of person that needs order and routine in his life, otherwise everything just falls into chaos for me and I get nothing done that is of value. Typically when I wake up, the first thing I do is skip through the news on my phone to see if anything noteworthy had happened during the 8 hours I was out. I put the phone down, do my daily morning routine, and sit down at the computer. I give myself a little time to watch YouTube videos with breakfast, browse a bit of Reddit, and then I get to work on writing and other work for the next 6-8 hours, or so. Then I do some reading, watch some educational documentaries, a bit more Reddit and YouTube, and then it's off to bed. So basically my routine consists mostly of work, learning/reading, and funny cat videos.

SEOClerks has actually become a part of my daily routine as well. Rather than checking other social media websites, I often stop by here first to see what’s new. I love the forum here and it’s great communicating with others, sharing ideas and perspectives.

It’s a great way to start my day because visiting here is always a learning experience, and it’s important to try and learn at least one new thing every day.

Me too. Seoclerks has been a part of my daily online routine. I also have word clerks. I got nineteen sites on my post loop. I have more sites about bitcoins

I agree with you. Establishing a daily routine is needed to be successful online. I take advantage of this situation.

I am also after the news but my priority when opening my phone is the text or missed call. When I had breakfast, that’s the time to check on my emails and afterwards I would check the forums that I am subscribed to if there is something important. Later on when the work has a slack period I would be able to read the news in the online newspapers. Sometimes it is a pressure to abide with the routine that I try to change it every day.

Since I made that post, I actually decided to change up my routine. I no longer read the news first things in the morning, simply because there is always something depressing that ends up ruining my day in the long run. I realized that the stuff I read right after waking up actually has a lasting psychological impact on me, so reading about things like climate change or terrorism first thing in the morning usually means I end up feeling depressed for the rest of the day. I’ve actually made the choice to actively avoid the news, because it’s never good.

I have 8 hours of the day job. Then I have some online freelance jobs. And then forum posting. And also the article writing work too. And that's something to do with the things around. As you can see having daily routine that keeps you busy can be hectic. And that can surely add some issues into the life. I have spent a lot of time into random work. I have yet to do the travel and other stuff. So that being said, it'd be reasonable to see how the changing of routine would be good.

When once I'm up I schedule my activities on my notepad and I try to follow it religiously so as be able to touch all the activities of the day even if it will be 1 hour for each at least I have moved an inch forward than stagnating an area.It not easy working and parenting but thanks, goodness it doable.

Wow, that's really a good idea, you just gave me a hint of what I will be doing though. Sometimes I get things so messed up during the day, that I no longer can keep track or list of things I'm meant to do, but with this idea, I will likely get my priorities in one piece.

Yeah, i do this too, but then youtube or netflix distracts me, and it's always happening so i just try to get things done right when i wake up so i can play later in the day. xD

I have a very loose online schedule. My offline schedule is pretty routine being that I work full time 8 hours a day and then maybe do some freelance video work in the evenings.

The strictest part of my online routine is my Instagram posts. I'm trying to build up a following on the platform with my photography and hopefully start getting my name out into the community. I've been doing a ton of photoshoots so I have a large portfolio of work, and I schedule two Instagram posts every day. I put one up at 9am and one at 5pm, with appropriate hashtags, in hopes of reaching as many people as possible.

So far the ROI has been pretty impressive. My analytics show that I currently have an average growth of 3 followers a day for an average of 90 a month. I'd love for it to be higher than that, but that's quite a few, in my opinion!

wow, good idea! Maybe I should create an Instagram for my recipe post pictures too. But how do you link it to your website with the pictures?

Since I work online I spend the majority of my time on the internet. I am mostly into online tutoring, selling and writing. I usually wake up at 5.30 am and I start working at 7 am. I prepare a 'To Do' list on a daily basis as they help me to plan my work for the day and also not to miss any deadlines. I take about three or four breaks during the day. I normally stop working at 6 pm but sometimes I work till late at night. It all depends on the workload.

You have the similar routine as mine. I wake up at 5am, start working online after breakfast, around 8am until 12pm because I need to start cooking for lunch. Then I will start working online again after lunch time until 5.30pm that is to prepare dinner. By then, I should be able to hit my daily goals

I'm on my gap year at the moment so I don't really have much of a proper daily routine. I will be travelling for a bit later on near the end of my gap year so for the moment it is pretty much me just being at home. Most of my day is spent working on my website project with coding taking quite a lot of the time. I then will take a break here and there to play some games or to catch up on my favourite TV shows. And nearer the end of the day, I will do a few online jobs here and there to earn a bit of money on the side.

Well the first thing I do in logon and check Facebook and then I check my forum and then I check the Xenforo website to see if anything is new. And then I usually answer comments on my forum and then I watch tv for a few hours and rinse and repeat. I just can't stay on the internet for hours on end anymore.

I usually work my way online after I had finished my household chores. I am a housewife with two kids. Chores had to be done early in the morning before I started to blog and commenting around 1 hour for each site. I have 4 sites to complete. But in between, I need to take a break and complete more chores.

With two kids and a house to take care of, I think you should have an extremely tiring routine, right? Congrats! What is your (on line) daily routine?

So... How do you deal with all those responsibilities? I mean, it seems like a lot to do every day. Don't you often confuse the works at some point?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

peachpurple

yes sometimes I would be lost with online sites, so I make it a schedule. Wake up early in the morning at 5am, prepare breakfast for my son to go to school, lunch box , etc. Then at 6am have breakfast, at 7am start putting the dirty laundry into the washer, sweep and mop the floor, boil kettle of water, wash the toilet, water the plants, go online for 1 hour and then back to more chores, hang out clothes, prepare lunch, then go online 1 hour, back to chores again. That is my daily routine. Previously, I could go online for 7 hours until my hubby nags at me. Now, I had changed my routine.

When I first wake up in a morning I perform a 20 minute meditation, why? well because this helps me relax and feel calm and helps me concentrate for my day a head. I then get up make a drink and then switch my laptop on. I check over my adsense daily to see how well it is performing not sure why but I do lol. I then login to my blog and other sites and check them over I also maybe create a new article and then try create few back links.

meditation is healthy. I have a 70 year old female friend who was a Christian converted to Buddhism. She always wakes up at 6am, meditate for 1 hour before she goes to the market. She looks refresh, happy and cheerful. She said meditation helps her to feel peaceful and happy.

I get up and check my emails pretty immediately--mainly because that sets the pace for my work day. Years ago, I was at a convention and a presentation was given regarding online activity. Students at a college were polled about how much they "thought" they were online and how much they actually WERE online. The perception versus the reality, as I remember it, was astounding. It seems that many of us have no concept of how much time we actually REALLY are in the cloud. That being said, I wonder, between my phone, laptop, and desktop, how much time I live in the virtual world versus the world of trees, flesh, and "real" interaction. Even typing this makes me feel a bit bad about my habits, but my entire livelihood is connected to this keyboard I am banging on right now to talk to all of you. I have two blogs, work online, tons of emails, three social media sites, and other business which filters through my online connections every day, so I suspect that I don't even know how much time I spend online every day, and it is also different every day.

Every day after work and after performing church activities, I will immediately open my laptop, check my emails and my facebook account if there's some message that I need to respond to. Then I use the rest of my time browsing the internet, reading blogs, e-books, and forum posts and practicing my writing skills. As of these days I spent most of my time in developing my
skills in writing and learning stuff on how to earn money online. Even at work, I take advantage of my free time reading materials that could improve my knowledge and skills.

Seeking to develop my skills (especially in the writing world... because I really like to write What is your (on line) daily routine?) is where I usually spend a part of my time online. it's amazing how many things I already see that I still need to learn / improve.

Do you follow your routine daily (weekdays and weekends) or do you usually reverse some order?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Nope I do not follow certain daily routine. Organizing my daily tasks especially in reading/writing is one that I need to fix for myself. There are times that I could not write properly and reading seems boring so I do other things that could stimulate in my interest.

You are right, if we have different works that need to do daily then we should not fix a certain daily routine. Everything needs to be flexible and it will get more effective for our works.

I have to admit I'm a little bit messy when it comes to my daily online routine, I mean, sometimes I don't even have one. I like to change things around so the work doesn't become boring, otherwise at the end of the week I end up exhausted and not wanting to get back to work. I have to admire all of you guys who actually are strict to their routine!

I don't follow a particular order on purpose. However, though, I often find I do the same things in a style that seems planned. You know, it's sort of like how people will tend to sit in the same seats in a class - even if they're not assigned.

SEO for my sites
Checking new blog posts
Checking news
social media protions

I think they are enough and consuming more time.

I won't say I have a certain routine or planned way of going about my online activities daily, not that it's a bad idea.

However i believe that if you have certain things you do online regularly, our minds in someway imprints them and you sometimes find yourself doing things in accordance or almost exactly how you did it the last time.

I check my email. I do forum posting. I check some of my user testing and survey sites. I also check Facebook for what is happening on there, and then I go about my day. I don't spend all of my time online. It can be difficult to do.

The first thing I do the moment I get up is to switch on my pc and keep it on the whole day through. I get back to it as and when I find time. I have several forums where I write and so need a lot of time to spend there. I love writing and those cents that jingle in my pocket is an added attraction.

I usually get up in the morning, check my mails, do some browsing to see if there are any feasible online opportunities, and then move to some social Media activities. My main activity however would be posting on forums, but the usual forum posting activities have been gradually diminishing which is rather frustrating because the earning opportunities have been drastically reduced.

When it comes to online specifically, I give it two hours in the morning from 6:00 am to 8:00 am. I also give online work 1 hour at night before I sleep. I have less to do nowadays but I will give it more time once I try new ways of earning.

The first thing that I do when I turn on the computer or my phone is to check my email. It is imperative because I am connected to the office via email and sms. The next thing to check is my work which are the forums and the blogs that I visit. And last is the social media. Facebook is actually not a low priority but I make it the last in the sequence because it takes the most time especially when there is an occasion that my friends have a lot of posts that I have to read and reply to.

Online I follow a routine of writing blogs in the morning, transcription and translation in the afternoon, and replying in forums in the evening. I keep about 2 hours of free time in between tasks where I relax, go to the park, eat comfort food, play online games, etc. so that even if the online work is kinda monotonous, I do not stay bored and tired of what I'm doing.

Working online looks like a walk in the park. Most people think that you can just sit around in all day. Well you ca but you will not make any money. You need to be super disciplined, even more so then when you have a nine to five job. I don't yet have a routine but I'm trying to establish one. I have a blog and am a freelance writer, so I need to try and plan my time well. Sometimes my time management skills are not the best and I end up being unproductive.

I wake up each day, turn on my laptop and if I have Internet access, I work on my online projects all day until I get tired. Go to sleep and get up the next day and do it again. That's my daily routine.
