10 Quick Tips on How to Brand Yourself and Your Business
When it comes to making money online, you'll need to brand yourself. If you're not trying to brand yourself then you're simply not trying to make money lol. Well, I should say that you're not trying hard enough When it comes to branding it's a lot easier than you would think. It doesn't require you to go out and do tons of speeches to groups of people who are interested in what niche you're in, unless that's what you want to do. You don't have to spend millions on facebook ads to get people to see your $10,000 video that you had made to increase your sales.
All that is required is you and some hard work. If you thought this was going to be super easy then you're working at the wrong job
So let's get into it.
Have a unique design - This means your website as well as your blog. If you have the same design as 10,000 other people in your niche, you're not going to stand out very much. You can use a WordPress theme, just customize it so it's not noticeable
Get a good looking logo - Logos you make yourself, unless you're a graphic designer, will likely look like sh*t compared to your competitors logo. Think about a tagline you can use - Now this isn't a necessity, it's more of an add on to your over all look. This will help get your message across to a bigger community with a few words of text.
Make your "About Us" page stand out - A lot of businesses fail at this part because they just add some bland explanation about the company. Use the "About Us" page to show timelines of what you've done, show your employees and you can even have a video embedded that shows a walk through of your office. Get creative and don't be bland with this.
Add social media links - Use all your social media platforms and try to get conversations going on there instead of just on your blog. This has loads of benefits and not just to keep your profiles active
Start a Podcast - This method is almost untouched if you think about it. How many people do you see working online that have podcasts? Maybe 10? And how many people are there trying to make a dollar every day online? Millions? lol get a podcast going
Get Videos Out There - Platforms like YouTube are basically search engines now and not just video websites. Getting your videos on places like YouTube, Vimeo, etc. will only increase your branding and traffic.
Content Content Content - You need to write up unique content that people want to engage with. If your content is just boiler plate crap, people will not come back.
Collect Emails - You need to have a free offer on your website to collect emails. Even if that offer is some basic 10 page ebook, people will sign up for it
Be Yourself - For businesses that aren't in their infant stages, you need to be yourself. People will read through all the BS you spin if you're not being genuine. You may not get as many followers right away, but when you start gaining traction you will notice more and more people coming in to follow your words of wisdom
When it comes to branding yourself and your business, it's not as easy as you would think. It's not a difficult thing to do, it's just time consuming and you might not be able to do everything each day or week. Spread yourself out and work on a few of these things I listed above each week so you don't get overworked and burnt out
