Response time bug jumping all of sudden

Sudden jump in response time to a too low level of 6 days from a good response time of nearly 6 hours.
Anyone else facing similar problems like me? I have been watching this response time jumping from around 6 hours to 2 days earlier. It gets back in some hours to normal again. But this time it's gone too low beyond my imagination.

Now I'm downgraded from level 3 to level 1 for this bug. Waiting some hours to get back my original response time and deserved level for that. Still it's one unpleasant experience I got.

There hasn't been any updates relating to response time. Usually this happens when a seller responds to an old order they forgot to respond to (or even complete, tsk tsk). Contact the Helpdesk if you think this is in error and a staff member will be able to analyze what caused it.

Just for the sake of knowing, response time is calculated only on orders messages (not inbox) as such:

-- Buyer message (1:02)
-- Seller response (1:04)
-- Buyer message (1:10)
-- Seller response (2:10)

So, the seller responded to the first message in 2 minutes and the second one in 60 minutes. 60+2 = 62 / 2 = Average of 31 minute response time.

This is calculated by seconds rather than minutes but for simplicity sake, I used minutes above. This calculation is for every buyer/seller order message/response during a 30 day period. The 30 day period is not orders created during the last 30 days but responses by the seller during the last 30 days. A seller could respond to an order 1 year later and that response will be included in the calculation.

Hope that clears it up.

I have noticed something strange happening on response time too.

Mine is currently showing 20 hours, and I am online every day of the week, and I respond to all my order updates.

The SEOClerks user levels page states that order updates only are included in the calculation of response time, not messages in the inbox. Could it be that this policy has changed?

Anyone else noticed this happening?

My response time has been bouncing around a lot lately as well and I dropped from level 3 down to 1 because of it. I sent a ticket to support the first time it happened, but it was back to normal by the time I heard back.

Now I don't sweat it. It's obviously a glitchy system, but fixes itself fairly quickly. A couple days ago when my level dropped from 3 to 1 because my response time supposedly jumped from 11 hours to 6 days it only lasted a few hours before it was back to level 3 and the 11 hour response time I've actually had for months, as I'm online every day and I always respond quickly, except when sleeping, of course.

It's a flawed system, but it works itself out, so no biggie. Enjoy your day! Response time bug jumping all of sudden

It shouldn't jump around that much, that often. Most, if not all, issues we've seen have been because of an order a seller responded to days (and in a few cases, several months) late.

That may be true, but then it should be setup differently. I respond to every single order within the same day (within 11 hours), so that should be my response time (which it is).

However, if a buyer posts something like "Ok, thanks!" AFTER I've already responded within the 11 hours, then I shouldn't have to respond to them AGAIN just to keep my response time down. I'm already busy off doing their orders.

It can often take a few days to do an order, so I should be able to take that time to do the order and then come back to deliver it days later without needing to post something in each order page every day to keep my response time to under 24 hours.

Luckily, even when the system does give me a crazy response time of 6 days and drop me to level 1 it quickly "realizes" the mistake within a few hours without needing to wait 30 days to recalculate it, so it's just a short term annoyance. It's happened twice in the past 30 days or so. If it lasted longer than a few hours, then it might be cause for concern, but I'll get used to it...lol
