fulfil the promise you made

Last month, I got a message from a buyer saying that he has a list of forums and I just need to register on each of these forums. His rate was 1$ for 10 forum registrations. At first, I didn’t agree because it seems like a lot of work and also he said all the forums must have the username, password and mail address with Gmail recovery all in just 3 days. And during that time, I already have more than 10 orders in progress. Then again, he sent another message, and now it was 5 days from 3 and I agreed.

Deciding on the price, which I was not sure about it, I decided to check the marketplace here and no one was offering this service, it seems legit and good opportunity for me also what really caught my attention is that the buyer was able to convince me, not all buyers can convince me also he mentioned about a long term basis job after this one, overall a continual job.

So, I finished the work within 3 days, but I could only register for 86 forums out of 150 links he gave me, rest where all invalid links and some other languages that I couldn’t even translate. Also in while I was doing the work, I had mentioned that I cannot guarantee the approval of registry as it might up to weeks, so once he agreed then only I continued.

After a very long message to the buyer, regarding the problems and why I could only manage to register 80 forums, I asked him to change the links, with the valid ones, overall asked for new 20 links, so that I can complete the service on what we have both agree on, which was 100 forums. Surprisingly, he agreed for 86 forums only, I had delivered the order and asked him to change the passports with a very long disclaimer notice. And also the buyer gave me positive rating.

After completion, I didn’t get any more order from him and just yesterday when I was going through some profile, and one really caught my attention because this seller was also offering the forum register service, so now I know there is someone else offering the same service that I only had offered before.

What I felt bad about is that it was the same buyer from Pakistan who ordered me and made such promises. So, he ordered this service to the other seller, maybe he also asked him to create a service like this, as he asked me before.

In this marketplace, we the sellers we try to deliver each order as we’ve promised, but in this case, it is the buyer who couldn't keep the promise he made.

I had a similar order myself a few weeks back. They gave me 150 links to use and wanted me to register to each and place all usernames, email addresses, recovery emails and passwords into an excel and they wanted it done within 5 days however with this they wanted a post done with it that would stick. I was a little dubious at first but took the order however I already had orders ongoing as well so I was working on it as best I could however he kept messaging after a while asking if I was done, how much longer and in the end I had to cancel by mutual agreement which I never like doing and apologise. Some of the posts were not even sticking that I had to make either so this order would have taken me way past the 5 days mark. He refused to cancel by mutual agreement and tried to change the order instead, I still would rather cancel as he seemed too pushy for my liking and it seemed like he wanted something for nothing. Eventually he did cancel. It's made me more alert when I look at taking these kind of orders now though because a lot of the time it's people that want a lot of work for nothing and they can be really pushy about it. It's a real shame some buyers are like that.

It looks like the work of a smooth operator. There’s nothing wrong in offering the same service as yours but to think that you have been his client before and it strongly suggests that he imitated your service. Anyway, when it comes to promises that is the problem when it comes to sellers of service whether in online or offline transactions. Delayed delivery or poor quality of service is always the issue.
