Will I still be paid if the delivery is late?

The buyer I am working with takes a very long time to respond, so I haven't been able to work with him enough to get a good final product, and now it's late. Will I still be paid if he doesn't cancel? Or does SEOClerks penalize me anyway?

I was a bit late with a gig myself because of some school stuff I needed to take care of. He didn't canceled the job though. I've sent the buyer a message, apologized for the inconvenience, delivered the completed work and everything is ok now.
