The second file is a text file that you do not see and it's job is to make sure you're inputting the correct text. If your text matches up with the text in the second file, you've solved the captcha! It sounds simple, but the programming behind this plugin is pretty extensive.
This plugin has over 1,000,000 active installs and yet it doesn't have many reviews, it's possibly the best plugin to help you fight spam comments and spam registrations.

Anyways, thanks for the info and review, will be sure to check it out! Why does it have so many downloads but so few reviews? 12 reviews of 1 star and 70 of 5 and almost nothing in between but somehow over 1 million downloads.
