The truth about earning with Adsense

Is it possible to earn $100 a day with Adsense? Sure. Is it likely? No, not at all. Most people struggle just to earn a few cents a day, and then when you finally get built up to making dollars a day, then a Google update can wipe out your rankings overnight.

I thought it was funny that someone said there is a "chance" you can "easily" make money. That makes no sense. If something is easy to do, then it has nothing to do with chance...you just do it. Adsense is NOT the way to make "easy" money online.

Too many people starting out online fall for that old formula that if you build 100 sites each only earning $1 a day, then you "easily" earn $100 per day. Well, the reality is that maintaining the traffic and rankings to 100 sites so that EVERY one of them is making anything is an overwhelming task that buries the average person. You must be VERY good at what you do, and most people just can't pull it off for any length of time.

The best route to $50+ a day is through selling your own services or through niche products with a decent payout (instead of pennies) that have low competition. Adsense is a near-extinct dinosaur compared to the real money makers out there. Do your research!!!!

I totally agree with this as well. While, it is possible to make $100 a day with Adsense, it is very difficult. Not only is your search engine rankings very uncertain in the future due to Google updates but also new development like adblockers also harm webmaster's revenue. Yes, this is making people's user experience a lot better but this will making my experience as a webmaster very bad. Websites that have been around for a very long time may still be doing well with Adsense but it is extremely difficult for new starters. Therefore, selling products and services is probably the best alternative. Furthermore, I earn much more from BuySellAds than Adsense and generally it requires a lot of traffic to earn good money from Adsense.

I still make websites but probably spend less resources on them and start putting more emphasis on selling products.

Oh yes I have to agree with you there, earning money through Adsense is far from easy! So many people make out that making money online is easy, including through Adsense.

I have 3 websites that are going full steam and I have a 4th website I am busy working on to properly launch next year... and I have to say that from my experience you are so right. Who on earth has the time to manage 100 websites? Certainly if you have a whole team of staff member that would be easy enough but what about all their salaries to manage those websites?

I make money online in a variety of ways, I earn a little bit from services I have added here, some from promotional posts on my websites, some from Adsense and Youtube income, some from affiliate marketing....

Yes I do earn some money from Adsense and yes I like having that extra income but it certainly won't cover any bills on its own!

Thank you for sharing the reality with everyone.

Adsense can still turn a profit around if you do it right and that means automation. Sure having and administrating 100 websites as well as writing content for all of them is hard and will take enormous amounts of time, but if you have the right tools and the right set of skills, you can automobile most of the work as well as find ways for free hosting and stuff like that.

What I'm saying is that Adsense can still make you money, you just have to get creative OR have a website with huge traffic that converts well with Adsense.

This is the objections that I had with Google always reviewing the policy guiding Adsense in the sense that most of the changes always affect those bloggers that were already earning using Adsense.

If you check other advertising programs, you will find that they are also constantly reviewing their policies and guidelines. Adsense gives the best result only when you have high traffic that concerts. If you want a traffic that converts, you should always do SEO and improve your website ranking.

The only major advertising program that accepts a small publisher is Adsense. Media Net, Yahoo Bing Ad network does not accept small or moderate publisher. There are lots of advertising programs, however, they don't have tough criteria for approval, however, earnings are very slow, slower than Adsense. In order to maximize your adsense earning, you need to publish posts with relevant keywords. If your posts have focus keywords, adsense will show relevant ads, when the ads are relevant the visitor clicks on ads and you make money. making money with adsense is not very difficult. All you have to do is publish SEO article and bring traffic.

I have some friends who were greatly disappointed with Adsense maybe because they have been reading good reviews and they had expected those positive talks about Adsense to be true. But when they had launched their website, they were shocked to see that their sites were earning coins only. I think Adsense is a tricky thing because you cannot estimate the earnings. It’s not just about the traffic which means even if you get a hundred thousand visitors in a week, it is not a guarantee for you to earn so much. It is the ads that matter with Adsense. When your reader clicks on the ads on your website, that’s where the money is.
