Where can I get a free website SEO analysis?

Can anyone recommend a free website SEO analysis site that I can use to start trying to fix one of my websites up?

I might want to get a professional analysis at some stage but for now I think getting a free SEO analysis somewhere so I can get started will work just fine for now.

Do you think this is the best way to go about starting to speed my website up and to fix problems?

Oh there's loads! You can just Google free website SEO analysis. Some of those I sometimes use are woorank.com and seositecheckup.com. But if you're looking for free and paid SEO checkers you can check out this Hubspot post for 6 SEO -Tools to Analyze Your Site Like Google Does which has some of these mentioned which are free and are very very helpful and useful for finding out areas of your site you can improve the on-page SEO score of. But you've mentioned that you may want a professional analysis as well at some point and it has some good places you can go to for that. Although tbh I find them quite pricey but they are apparently worth it as they can tell you a lot more about your on-page SEO and that, that the free versions don't tell you.

That said, even the free ones can tell you a lot about your site that you didn't know of, areas of it you can improve or add. I often use them on my new sites after I've finished tweaking them, adding content to them etc. And sometimes I'll re-run my sites through them as well just to see if there's anything that I've overlooked or forgotten to do. These sites are worth their weight in gold for these reasons. Where can I get a free website SEO analysis?

Good luck!

Hi Mike, yes I am sure that the free versions don't give you everything, it is just to suck me in to buying the paid version which I will most likely do once I have gotten a start. I just want to see what I can get done on my own without paying first Where can I get a free website SEO analysis?

Actually I got a free analysis once from my favorite seller here when I first contacted him... he didn't want to do any work on my site because well I didn't even have an SEO plugin and I knew nothing about SEO. He told me to fix my site up first and when I said I had no idea where to start he sent me a lovely pdf with everything I needed to fix. Yeah so I want one of those reports LOL

Strangely enough it is for the same website but it was an online store then and now I have closed my store and I am only blogging.. so I have all these plugins and things I don't need. I need to start slowly but surely changing everything and probably change themes... shew I have a lot of work to do.

Woorank spits out a decent free report compared to other websites. You get a good amount of info that shows you what you need to fix and what's already great about your pages.

From what I can see, you get the following from woorank if you do decide to upgrade:
  • .pdf file of your analysis for your own records so you can have it open on your monitor or print it out if you'd like.
  • A competitor analysis feature that allows you to pretty much stalk your competition so you can see what they're doing to beat you in the rankings.
  • An extensive checklist that deals with your analysis, which is pretty awesome. You can go through the list one by one and get everything fixed. Once something is fixed, check it off lol.

The only downside about their whole system is that it's not 100% free. They'll give you just enough info to get started, but if you want to get into the detailed work that will put your website at it's highest performance level, you'll have to upgrade to a paid account.

I'm sure there are a few systems out there that you can combine that will give you all the paid features of woorank, but you'll have to figure out what works best for you Where can I get a free website SEO analysis?

Speeding up your website depends on a variable of things. Your hosting company is one of the main things because if you're on a slow server, you'll have a slow website. Also, if you have enormous images that take forever to load, it will slow your pages down. So focus on speeding up your website by switching hosts if you need to and reducing the image sizes to fit the section they are in.

Hopefully that helped out enough to get you started Where can I get a free website SEO analysis?

Thanks Razzy! Yeah for now I am sure that Woorank will sort me out so I can get started. I don't mind paying for more information to fix more things once I have made a start or even paying a freelancer here to sort out some things for me.

I just don't know quite where to start so I want to figure out some things for myself for now and also try and do as much as I can on my own before getting someone else in or paying for a full SEO audit.
