Animals are great. I wonder how long it took for the parrot to learn the squeak sound? On a side note a friend gave me a bird as a pet when I was in my early twenties. It didn't work out because every time I would play guitar (electric) the bird would totally freak-out, I guess my playing was bad. Lol Today I didn't want to torture the bird so I gave it away to a friend who loved birds. The bird finally found a happy home with my friend and he took care of the bird for years so it worked out well.

I heard that with parrots some times it depends on the bird really as you have some birds that will pick up on any thing verbal like a sponge and spit it back at you effortless and then I have also seen those birds that it is like you have to repeat your self to
it over and over and over again multiple times just to get things to stick certain birds require that extra care and training when handling them especially if you plan on having the bird say specific things you are going to have to put time in it
