    Steemit - A new ERA in Social Media? - Part 4

    Here's Part 4!

    Now it's time to show you the "moolah" and the amazing payouts!

    This is probably the biggest reason people join steemit. They see all of these INSANE payouts.. Often for "crap" posts too..

    So, what did I do? Being a bit skeptical.. I made my first post..

    Here's a few examples of posts that made a ton of cash..

    -Hell yeah! I want in! ...

    That was the total amount I made.. $0,33... Seriously..?


    Oh, I forgot to mention.

    You will be paid in both Steem Power and Steem Dollars. Sorry for not mentioning this earlier and sorry for not having the exact numbers on this..

    However, you will be paid something like 60% or so in Steem Dollars. The other 40% will people who upvoted on your post split, and you will also earn Steem Power..

    Anyhow, about 60% or so will be paid in Steem Dollars. I haven't been using Steemit long enough to have all these details. Sorry. Steemit - A new ERA in Social Media? - Part 4


    Moving on..
    I earned $0,33. That's pure crap. Sure, don't get me wrong here.. I made money for making 1 post.. Something like that would never happen on Facebook or Twitter for instance, so that's cool.. But yeah.. $0,33 when I saw others making THOUSANDS..

    I felt deceived.


    So what did I do..?
    -I made a couple of other posts.. I tried to understand the process of the whole thing.. I tried to figure out things like; When to post. What to post. What tags to use etc.

    And here's what I finally managed to do:

    (Note that I've made a bunch of posts before these, and none of them made me any money. I made less than $4 on all of them before these I'll show you.)

    These are my HIGHEST earnings so far:

    As you can see... I've made almost $1000 on these two alone. And I've earned about $500-600 more on top of that.

    I just joined steemit to check it out. I am looking around the website to get a better grasp of what it is all about and how it works. Have you posted an article on steemit? If so, send your link so I can see an example. Can you earn from upvoting or posting a reply to an article?

    Yes that is correct. You can earn not only from creating your own content, but also from upvoting and commenting on others content. It's called curation reward.

    The reason that post have that much pending payout is because of "dantheman". You can find him among the votes. He's one of the founders or something like that and is indeed a "whale".

    And yes. That is correct. However, whales or people with a bunch of steem power is the ones who'll make any real impact. "minnows" won't do much at all. I'll upvote your comment and I believe that reply will be worth $0,01 after that. (Due to my steem power). That money is also divided by other people who upvotes and the author of the main post. In this case, me.

    It's a huge learning curve.. And I'm still a rookie myself with much to learn.. But it's fun, and at cool the same time. Steemit - A new ERA in Social Media? - Part 4

    I admit that it looks easy to earn in Steemit because even just a few posts can earn you much when the engagement is high. That will happen when you have friends in Steemit or if your profile name is well established and familiar to many users. However, we will still go to the end which is the withdrawal of earnings. I am not comfortable in earning crypto currency that’s why I am hesitating about this site.
