    Well it all depends on if you can push "link juice" down to your website. I know that I've had plenty of success by posting videos and not linking back to my own website, but I have the domain name in the title or description (not a hyper link). This is due to googles spiders understanding that when just posting the domain in plain text you're still talking about a site and giving it credit. Google now understands that you may not be a coding genius and are unaware of how to make a hyperlink, even though it's pretty easy with certain posting features on blogs, websites, and anything else that lets you guest post Do Google hang out videos help you rank?

    It will help you rank because it's talking about your website. Well, it will help you rank if you do it properly. Get your keywords into any text fields you can, as well as your domain name. Do this if you cannot get a hyperlink, or plain text of your domain name into a description field, and it will help you out more than if you just post a video talking about your website or service.

    Google doesn't have the technology yet to understand exactly what a video is talking about. Right now they have to take the title, description and tags into consideration in order to give a third party credit in their search results. They cannot review an audio file because they're just not there yet, yeah I know Google is all powerful, but when it comes to audio recognition they are lacking Do Google hang out videos help you rank?

    Razzy but what do you do with a Google Hangout video? Do you not upload it to Youtube?

    Yeah, you'd have to upload your video to websites like YouTube and DailyMotion. After you get your file uploaded THEN do what I said in my first post lol Do Google hang out videos help you rank?

    What would you then do with a Google Hangout video? Would this be like a Webinar? I have had Google Hangouts before with some friends to chat about things, how would you record a Google Hangout and what would you then do with it? Upload it to Youtube?

    I do think that google hangout does help. I have seen some of the people making use of the hangout videos on the youtube. You can see that some of such hangout videos being more video length are going to be monetized. So I guess depending on how people choose to rank such videos, it's definitely possible to make use of that content. Many sites have such content and they do monetize. As for the ranking, i guess each video and their keywords are different. And we have to consider that on per case basis as well.

    Pardon my ignorance. I just want to know what a Google hangout video is. I may be reading it wrongly but the term is definitely new to me. All the while I thought it was the video that is included in the content of a web page but I guess I have the wrong notion. Maybe someone can give a clear and simple explanation about the hangout video. I am interested in anything that I find in this site that is new to me.
