    Seoclerks Google chrome extension Idea

    Hey, I'm Nextant. I offer video & graphic design services.

    On an online game I play they have a Google chrome extension that alerts you when another player sends you a message or something like this. This extension was created by another user, cool right?

    I thought this would be great for Seocerks. This could greatly decrease the response time. I'm usually browsing the web but I don't always have a Seoclerks tab open. So if you got a message or alert it would have a small notification in the corner of the screen, you click it and it puts you on that page.

    The Seoclerks development team should take this into consideration, I'm willing to pay money for this!

    Please get attention on this, get this noticed and spread the word!

    Hi Nextant thanks for your idea. I appreciate your thinking want to do something for SEOclerks. I think many more alternative ways still available on internet. I am using couple of extension for getting alert for all SEOcelrks update. And mostly I using last few years Checker Plus for Gmail which get you any email update within second. Just you need to connect with Gmail. I am talking about this extension involving with gmail, because you mentioned about chrome extension. If you use other email, you can get direct notification via email. So, I think this type of extension not much necessary at this moment.

    I use a Gmail Notifier plugin, and it's hooked up to my gmail as well. I was using these types of alerts when they first came out. I thought it was so cool.. now it's somewhat annoying. However, it does seem to help, and makes it to where you are more responsive.

    The plugin I use, you can tamper with the settings, and I make it as annoying as possible for me, so I can reply to discussions or comments, and know that my clients are being taken care of. I think a lot of users can also use this and it'll be beneficial to them.

    It might not be a bad idea, I get what you mean and it might be helpful for those who are not online that much. However I personally feel that I am updated well enough because simply by keeping my email account open, I can see when an email comes in. and so when something happens on SeoClerks I get the (1 unread) message in the tab, and I check it out immediately. Also, since I am online several hours a day on SeoClerks I refresh the page regularly, and the Alerts get updated as a result.

    The APIs already exist if you wanted to code this yourself. I'm unsure if the API would let you display your messages though, however I do believe you can get account information via the API.

    You can't get any message information or alerts with Seoclerks API. It's only used for services and member's details and limited to that

    Yeah, that's what I meant. I meant the API system already exists, however there is no API for messages.. or alerts.
