I've been busy on Youtube and I am ready to take the next step to making more professional videos.
I don't want to spend a huge amount of money to start. What route would be recommended for editing videos?
Painless, easy and quick options. I am not good at technical stuff and I don't want to battle and fight for hours to edit a video.
Possibly a better option would be for me to pay someone else to edit my videos but I am worried the price might be way too high? Also I don't like waiting. I am a very impatient person.
I want to know the answer to this question too as my daughter is making her own gameplay videos now for WolfQuest and Minecraft and assorted Steam games and she is learning as she goes about how to edit. I have tried to show her the Youtube options for editing, but not being as familiar with those, I can't be of much assistance on that. Mostly though, I want her to be able to edit out little 'mistakes' or edit in tiny clips and fun things that her viewers might like to see.
And, for myself, I need to know how to edit a tiny clip out of a longer video - for instance, sometimes I find a good Matt Cutts video that has only a tiny portion that I want to use, link to. I want to edit just one comment out and make that into a new video. That is only an example, mostly this would be for my own content though.
Are you sure you want to delete this post?
Yes I found something about 2 weeks ago, I can't remember what it was called... but I tried all day to edit a video and I just frustrated myself to tears. I just uploaded it to Youtube as it was. It is not easy when sometimes my videos are up to 15 minutes long. I have to do it all in one go with no mistakes. Not easy!
Hey there Lynne,
I have found an excellent seller on SEOClerks for that purpose. I bought 3 services from him/her and I am extremely satisfied, he/she charged me $5 for the editing stuff. PM me to know about the seller.

Hello, I am a video editor and I charge 5$ for each video. I make these videos in 1080p HD or whichever quality you want. I can do amazing transitions and even white board animation.
Please message me so we can discuss what you need,

Thanks Nextant, yes I will contact you soon. I am just so busy with some things right now that I don't have time to look at the videos.
But yeah $5 for a white board animation? That sounds awesome.
Inbox me for that. I posted the link here but it has been removed by the admin.
Awesome! Thank you so much! I will send you a PM now
Most good video editing software does have a high price tag and they are looking for $50+. It may be a good idea to look out for summer/Christmas sales where they will give you a discount. In that case, I recommend Cyber Link Power Director. If you want to save money, then you can use Windows Movie Maker. It is free and comes with any Windows system but I have the say that the quality will be very bad. There are people out there who is willing to do it for cheap on marketplaces so maybe check them out but I do recommend Cyber Link Power Director if you want the highest quality.
Thanks for the recommendation for Cyber Link Power Director, I'll check them out.
Do you know if they are easy to use? For like novices that are not skilled with things like design and editing? I don't mind paying the $50 for something that is great and asy to use.
Hello, I have 4 or 5 videos and I want to make a mix with the best moments of each one, in total it would be 1minute and 30 seconds or so. The price would be 5 $?
Youtube has movie maker software which is offered free for movies lasting 5 minutes. You can upgrade it for longer movies with some payment. This link has more details
Windows Movie maker is a good video creation tool and video editor. It is free video making program from microsoft. Windows movie maker is good for short videos. You can also edit a long video, but your editing program might lag if you are editing long videos. You can cut scenes, eliminate background sound, add back ground sound on windows movie maker. You can also ad intro and end credits. There are lots of video effects on windows movie maker which you can use to add effects to your video.
I have tried windows movie maker and it is a good program. I can recommend this free video editor.
I am not really good with video editing and I have to admit that I only know the basic features. But I’m proud to say that I can make a video myself with the videos that we have in our camera. I am using Adobe Premiere 6.5. It is an old version for SD video that is not HD yet. However, for YouTube purposes, HD or SD does not make much difference. And for beginners, I would suggest you get the installer of that old Adobe Premiere version and in 1 day you can make a rough video edit.
Magisto and the Filmora GO are two apps that you can have on both desktop and the phone. There seems to be Android OS that can have the apps there. You can see some of those apps are really good and something like those apps if free are worth using. Some of them have the Ads on that. And some are premium service system where you can see that to be used there. Another thing is that youtube has it's own editor but other editors seem better.
