How many of you do Yoga in the morning

Hey guys....I do yoga for 1 hour in the morning and I feel very fresh after doing that....I was suffering from back pain earlier but now it is improving day by day. Also I lost 4 K.G in two months without skipping my meal....I think this is the great and safe way to loose your weight and stay healthy...one should do yoga under supervision of experienced yoga instructor.

I have not done yoga in awhile but I'm sure it would help me feel more energized for my day. I might try this idea out soon to see if it works better for me. I'd rather try a natural solution to wake up than relying on too much caffeine.

Thanks

I do yoga every morning. I don't do a lot of asanas but yeah some are good for the health. I am mosty worried about the weight gain. And the asanas like bhujangasana is going to help me with that. I also learn how to do the breathing and meditation. It may not be easy but it's worth going after. As it is known to have some good effect on our body. I have seen that people have got good results from this.

The word “yoga” essentially means, “that which brings you to reality”. Literally, it means “union.” Yoga is a deeper understanding of life. Yoga is not about self-development; it is about self-dissolution. It is the method or the process which allows an individual piece of life to yoke itself to the cosmic. When your experience of life shifts from being a limited entity to universality, this is yoga. When there is a kind of oneness or wholeness within ourselves, this is yoga. Then you have a certain freedom to play with your life whichever way you want, but at the same time life cannot leave a scratch upon you. However, very often, yoga is only partially understood as being limited to asanas (yoga poses). As such, its benefits are only perceived to be at the body level and we fail to realize the immense benefits Yoga offers in uniting the body, mind and breath. As for health, Yoga offers all-round fitness, weight loss, stress relief, inner peace, improved immunity, living with greater awareness, better relationships, increased energy, better flexibility & posture and better intution. The possibilities are nearly endless!

Hi, shivb, you are lucky if you succeeded to lose so much weight and that you are of the back pain. I never did Yoga, I think it would be too hard for me, especially in the morning....but I do go to a gym and exercise a lot to keep me in shape, and not only for that I am going to stay active and healthy!

I do not practice Yoga or meditation. I do not believe in the origin. I know some vouch for the benefits of Yoga in helping them to find their inner peace or inner balance in a chaotic world, but its not just for me. I prefer to run or jog in the mornings. If I am not able to leave home due to weather, then my Zumba videos keeps me going.

4kg in 2 months is considerably a great achievement. But I'm not at all a yoga freak. I find d it very slow and boring. On the contrary, I prefer to do high cardiovascular exercises. I like the high activity associated with it.

Yoga is super good no matter the hour you choose to practice it. Basically early in the morning what you will do is some Sun Salutation, maybe a soft stretching and some mild strength increasing movements. It will keep you totally relax and focus on your day by day, and will improve your breathing.

Personally, I don't get up and do yoga in the morning. However, every morning I take the time to get on the floor and stretch for about 15-20 minutes. I wake up early on purpose so I have time to do this. Allowing my body to wake up, aligning my energy and chakras, without the stress of being late for work. What I've come to notice is that people who do yoga and stretching in the morning, generally tend to have a smoother experience throughout the day. People who also do yoga in the morning don't seem to get frustrated as much by daily distractions in life, compared to those who get up and are immediately off to work. Nevertheless, I think the principles of yoga and stretching should be implemented into a lot of our lives. It helps get the blood circulating after being stationary for 6-7 hours of sleep.

I wish I can be able to practise yoga every morning before I go to work, but my morning is always choked up that in some cases, I miss taking breakfast before rushing off to work. I have read lots of good reviews on yoga exercise and it is one I will start doing when I have the time to set out on it.
