Need help with headache

I woke up with a pounding headache that engulfed my head. Now the pain has spread to my right eye and having trouble even seeing now. I have taken aspirin as that is all I have in the house now. I don't usually keep medicine in the house, not even Tylenol. I just need some suggestions on what to do. I'm willing to buy meds from pharmacy if you can recommend a good brand that will get rid of a headache very fast. Need suggestions please so I can get back to work.

I would suggest getting something with caffeine. This usually works well for me. Maybe Excedrin.

Thank you! I will check into this idea. I have regular headaches and it will be nice to get rid of them fast. I don't like suffering and it's hard being on the computer with a headache as the glare just hits me so hard.

I do hope that you got rid of a headache like this. I usually have to lay down with a cool cloth after taking a few Tylenol and then resting for a bit.

Thank you. I'm ok now, but these headaches pop up on occasion and it's tough as bright lights make it worse. Next time, I will lie down and chill out to some peaceful music. Need help with headache

I wonder what is the cause of the headache, is it lack of sleep? That usually happens to me when I sleep very late, like past midnight and then I would wake up before 6am. It's like having a hangover. Anyway, a hot shower can relieve the headache somehow especially if it's migraine. The nerves on the head is soothed by the warm bath. And I agree with the cafreine to stir your blood (wake you up). And if the condition doesn't change then I guess you have to go to a doctor.

You have to take some painkiller drugs and get into a good condition at the moment. I don't usually have a headache, but whenever I did, I don't fail to take my paracetamol and it's gone.

That headache looks like a Migraine. I've been having those since puberty hit me, and I even know when they are coming. Usually they take half of my head, which includes my eye and ear, and they can make me puke or getting nausea. I can't stand light, sounds, and I need to rest in the dark with a pillow in my head. The only thing that can kill those terrible Migraines are pills that contain Ergotamine, or something that has Caffeine like Excedrin. If you're feeling like me, go to a physician, Migraines need medical attention and control, also a doctor will give you the proper prescription.

Drinking lots of water. Dehydration is a common cause of headaches, and often times you won't even feel thirsty before the effects start.

Good day. There can be different opinions. I recommend to read about homeopathic medicine. Its prescription is focused on the individual and their idiosyncratic reaction to their environment and challenges to their health.
