Annoying things that wake you up at night?

My neighbor's dog is constantly barking. Not sure why as there are no other dogs around and no one can actually tresspass into their fenced yard. He just won't stop though. Often, the barking keeps me up late as I can't fall asleep easily or wakes me up after just an hour of sleep.

My cat Sally will go to the back door and yowl very loudly for hours on end. Usually I'll wake up after a few minutes. Sometimes, I am lucky enough to sleep through her noise :/

Some communities have noise ordinances which forbid home owners from having noisy pets. Maybe you can file a complaint.

I stay up long enough so that I am very tired by the time I go to bed. In this way, I don't wake up during the night. Another thing that helps is not drinking caffeine too late. Only one cup of coffee a day.

Sleeping is the best thing to me, I love when it gets night time so I can finally get to go to bed. But not all the time I sleep peacefully, there are many distractions at my house. Weather changes suddenly wake me up at night, like for example I will wake up drenched in sweat because it would be so hot in my room. I sleep better when it is cold in my room and I can get cozy under the covers all bundled up. Its uncomfortable sleeping in a hot environment and I don't sleep very well. Anyone who has pets probably gets woken up in the middle of the night too. My dogs are still puppies so they wimper at night and bark a lot which annoys me and wake me up. Rain can be very soothing for me when I am trying to go to sleep but thunder does tend to startle me and wake me up in the middle of the night as well.

Hi, Quinton you are lucky if that's only a dog to wake you up at night. My neighbors and their dog who wakes me up almost every night! They sleep late in the night and stay in the front of their yard talking and laughing until 1-2 AM, and if that would not be enough, sometimes they receive a visit from their friends, and their friends come with their car with a loud music and do even more noise. I have talked to them about this, but they cannot understand that if they don't have a job others have one, and need to sleep at such a late hour!

There are several things that wake us up in the middle of the night. First is the barking of dogs. Aside from many dogs here, there are also stray dogs so you can imagine the noise. Second in the list of annoyance is the ringing phone. When the phone rings at midnight, it might be an emergency. And when the caller has nothing good to say, it can get into my nerves. Third place is the strong rain that sounds like drumming on our roof. Oh well, it's good that no one snores in our bedroom.

I think the annoying thing that keeps me awake some night is this my snoring help.She snores so loudly as if a bad car is running pass my window and this is someone that sleeps in a separate room.She has really been helpful that I find it difficult to send her packing but I will eventually do because I can lose my sleep every night because of her.

What kept me awake all night is the security guard motorbike that makes its roaming service in every hour from 7pm to 7am. So, you can imagine the sound of the motorbike puffing throughout the lanes and using the torch lights to flash onto the windows, to check for thieves.

There is also a roving security guard in our village at night. They use a motorcycle and go from street to street for visibility. When we were new in this village, we were disturbed with the noise of the motorcycle’s engine. It’s a good thing that some residents complained to the officers of our village organization and something was done. Now, only motorcycles with a “silencer” are allowed to enter our village gate. And the roving security guards have quiet motorcycles now.

My son talking on his cell phone to his friends. Mind you. He goes outside and talks on the balcony. I can hear him in my sleep!!! His friends are in California. There's a bit of a time difference. No matter. It's still annoying!!

I always have a cool night for I don't get woken by any noise simply because we stay in a cool place that got no pets that disturb at night.
