the difference between shared hosting and reseller hosting

that in a reseller hosting you will get a space to sell shared hosting...
you will be able to create your own packages and your prices..

while on the shared hosting you will stcik with the package that your provider will give

and for Affiliate Site, the best is shared hosting, because reseller hosting is mostly used by designers and developers and IT people..
while shared hosting used by anyone wants to get a website or emails, he will buy a shared hosting.. and it's cheaper..

so it's better and the best is shared hosting because you can have lot of sales comparing to resellers

The Reseller Hosting plans are intended for an owner who wants to sell hosting; we provide an unlimited number of control panels, one for each domain. If you need multiple SSL certificates or multiple IP addresses, you must choose a Reseller account. If you want WHM and control over DNS zones, you must choose a Reseller account.

Shared hosting plans are “single user” plans that are designed for single website applications. This typically is used by a small business that has a single website or an individual looking to host their portfolio site. Shared hosting plans can also host multiple websites using what’s called “addon domains”. These are simply sub-directories under the main account with DNS maps that point to them. While hosting multiple sites on a single account may sound good, there’s actually a lot of performance & security issues from doing this.

Reseller hosting is similar to shared hosting with one major difference: you have a dashboard to manage multiple single accounts. This means with a reseller hosting account, you can create multiple “shared” style hosting plans and use a single dashboard (WHM) to manage them. As you add more & more websites, you can split each website onto its own cPanel account that has its own login username & password, email accounts and most importantly, its own resources.

In addition to simply using a reseller plan for hosting multiple websites, many “hosting resellers” utilize reseller plans from a parent provider such as VeeroTech to sell web hosting to their clients.

Think of shared resources is like sharing dorm room with room mate in building. And think of VPS as renting a flat in a building for your own sake. And here you don't share that part with others. You get equal allocated CPU and RAM. And that means it is possible for you to manage other resources as well. So shared hostinng and VPS both play their own role in the hosting and management of the web site.
