KEYWORD RICH DOMAIN vs BRANDABLE DOMAIN,WHICH IS BEST?

To start a site,I own a five letter domain that can be easily pronounced and also a full keyword domain (Above 49,500 exact global searches ) but it is 3 words (18 letters) !

Is the keyword rich domain really helpful or shall i go for brandable domain....
I'm in a big confusion, please anyone suggest me which is best?

In the short term, keyword rich helps. In the long run a brand name is preferable to a keyword name. That is if you intend on building a brand name out of your site/business.

Both have their own benefit, you can use a brand name keyword but you wouldn't get benefit of keyword, it would take time in ranking, while a keyword domain would rank higher in short period of time.

I've had better luck with brandable domains. You can also include the keyword in your brandable domain depending on your keyword and that would give you the best of both ways!

Usually, I'd encourage a keyword rich domain. But, since you already own a very short and memorable domain name, you should go with that.

All,Thanks for your suggestions...KEYWORD RICH DOMAIN vs BRANDABLE DOMAIN,WHICH IS BEST?

I decide to go with brandable domain,But Is there any other way to use the keyword rich domain for ranking, other than simply redirecting?? ;)

Think of Facebook. No one would ordinarily search for the combo word face+book. That is a brandable name. Same for Youtube. Otherwise it could be called coolvideosite or something else. A brandable name is smarter in the long run, if you plan on staying around and building your site's reputation.
