    What length of video works best on Youtube?

    Do you find more success uploading short or long videos? For instance, are shorter videos considered to be more viral or do longer videos get more shares and comments?

    Three to five minute videos work good for informational and how to videos. Though sixty second videos are good when you just want to share one simple tip on a niche subject.

    For personal videos, I stick to around five minutes, though sometimes I'll create a longer clip if it's for vacation. For marketing, a simple two minute video is usually enough (if not a little long) for promotional purposes.

    I had read in one blog about the efficacy of a video on YouTube. The 30-second video is more effective in sending out the message than the shorter 15-seconds. Likewise, it is also better than the longer 60-seconds because if the video is not that very interesting, the viewer would be exiting upon reaching the 3-second mark. Maybe it is the short attention span of the viewers that should be taken into consideration.
